And now we have no loading times, in previous generations there was loading times everywhere especially during cutscenes. This is thanks to the PS5's M.2 SSD and the faster they become the more a game can load directly, you'll have an entire game world with all interior locations loaded all at once instantly the moment you enter the game.

@GhoST Squad Yeah but the thing is that you're wrong. When I was little, I looked at GTA IV physics like they were close to real life, but they aren't. When you get older you realise that sports and supercars don't slide on the road like they're on ice, bursting a tire doesn't make your car spin out of control, and when you crash your car it the parts don't stick out like spikes. Again, GTA IV physics are fun, not realistic.

Definitely a visual leap ahead of what we might expect of this gen, very exciting to imagine what lies in store for us. From the perspective of someone who's modded a few game engines enough to be fairly familiar with their limitations, I can imagine the next genuine quantum leap will be how much of the creation and seeding of worlds like this might be handed over to AI to create on-the-fly and with results sufficiently detailed that it seems as densely granular as something built by hand, and how much of the computational workload can be offloaded and served on demand rather than client-side.

I love the jokes about marketting. Very clever. It seems the crash physics are the hardest to get right. When the players car crashes into another vehicle it doesn't feel like the other car has any weight it just sort of bounces over the top even though it has some damage modelling. I would like to see some more intelligent AI with the vehicles. For example if you block a lane on the freeway the cars just stop and queue behind your blockade instead of going around it.

That is truly awe inspiring - I remember when DOOM 1 was pushing the limits - with 386/486 machines. I've seen the progression of games and reality, and it just keeps getting better every decade -- but we still see where redraws occur, especially when lighting changes. What I wonder is how do they figure out the layout of the city, where the roads go, what the buildings look like, etc. in a map that big?

I remember playing Matrix The Path of Neo and The Matrix on PS2. Such a baddass game. Especially how the Matrix Path of Neo follows very closely to the movie and the way it also incorporates movie scenes. This game looks sick

I wouldn't be so sure about that. The foundation for a whole game is already there. What's missing is pretty much just a story and I think the story itself isn't what takes up most of the space. It's the models, textures, lighting etc. which are pretty much already there. Now, I'm not a game developer so I don't know if I'm actually correct about this but I don't think a full game like this would be bigger than 100-200GB

It’s free on the store on new gen consoles, it’s just a demo to show off unreal engine 5, I played it and it’s so amazing, literally so hard to tell that it’s a game, it looks too real. And it’s not a proper game with a story line as of yet, but I’m hoping they make it into one

the cinematic cutscenes are AWESOME, and the shooting while driving mechanic is exactly what I need in games that have such scenarios. otherwise, I miss every damn shot. the only exception to that rule are the saints row games and the red dead games. Should there ever be an actual matrix game, i hope they use the mechanics of this game, detroit become human's "your choices matter" style of story progression, cyberpunk 2077's character customization as it should've been(complete with personality customization(meaning sexuality and whatnot)), and be nearly ongoing to the point where we can have like three or more matrix movies worth of content. we should 100% meet Neo, both Morpheus characters, and the other protagonists of the franchise. the melee combat/kung-fu action sequences should use the arkham knight combat system but done matrix style. the game definitely needs to be open world and have both 1st person and 3rd person, and it needs to be toggle-able.

It looks like the same on the Xbox series S. Its a impressive little console. I have a PS5 and a Series S. The series S for the game pass to play games like Halo, Forza 5, back 4 blood and more for free and the PS5 for sony exclusives. So trust me when I say, buy a Series S, play games for free and wait for a PS5 on the market.
