I saw it in the theater opening weekend. The theater was dead silent, however when when Neo replied to the question about fate, a woman in the audience could be heard saying "hmm?..." Everyone was deeply engaged. We all wanted to know "What is the Matrix?"

My older brother took me to see it when I was a teenager the first week it came out. I saw it in IMAX. I was different after that. Then when I became a Christian, I realized that Christians had been talking about the matrix for thousands of years.

feel bad to this day i never got to see the matrix in theatres. heard all about it when i came out, was about 11yrs old at the time, but didn't have much money to go. missed out on a legendary film, but i guess seeing matrix2 on release was sort of a consolation, nowhere near as good as the original, but happy nonetheless.

So this movie was very famous in its time i did not know what type it is it seems it is science fiction. I eard a lot of songs about the end of the world and in the matrix television is a simulation. Morpheus does not know what year is present day and probably the Sun that kept planet earth worm ended because has lasted for milions of years since evolution of life. I will keep on making comments on subjects i like and would like your opinion on this movie because it was the last movie i saw with a friend in around 1998.
