@@rja1165 I really hope she doesn't go full on with the "trans allegory" thing. Claiming it was too much back in the late nighties was wrong, It would have been edgy and subversive. Doing the trans allegory thing now wouldn't be brave, it would be weak and tacit. I'll also be a bit suspicious if they subvert the "red-pill" concept due to the term being used more by the right, or say, MRA's today as the opposite in someway of "woke". It will seem very deliberate if that's the case and I'll be disappointed that the political schism in US politics caused a retconning of a beloved franchise, all in a desire to hit-back at opponents.

Clearly, this is many years later and the truce between humans and machines is coming to an end. My guess is the guy we see in the trailer who looks like "Morphius" is actually his son. Niobe and Morphius's son... that's my theory anyway because he looks just like him and he's younger.

This is a trailer and trailers splice many scenes. This may not be the same time as the Neo we've been seeing...but a future timeline, like the movie already starts 20years into the future but may skip even more for a vision...or, even Zion is a virtual reality, which would explain why Neo had powers in the Matrix and in the "real world"
