this is a great video bro. excellent information and superbly presented. i cannot get over peoples choice of comments, on all platforms. there are people complaining about audio quality and yes, you could use a mic and get the sound close. but NOTHING got in the way of the info which is all excellently conveyed. im a pro songwriter and producer with 20 years in the industry and learnt something from this so keep going bro. great voice as well mate keep going.

Nice lesson thanks. I think it's good to mix up your delivery as in say a verse being stacato and quick then a legato pre-chorus then something else inbetween for the chorus. Stick to the 1, 4, 5, 6 notes in the scale is also a pretty good technique.

Interesting watch. Whilst I see the reason to discuss conjunctive and disjunctive motions, I do feel that tension and release is a more important concept to understand with regards to Melodic Maths. Also one of the main things Max is seemingly obsessive about is symmetry in syllable count, (Mirror Image etc) which is arguably as important to the melody as the notes are.
@songwritersinternational9240
@songwritersinternational9240 8 ай бұрын
you make some great point. the Tension and release can also come from the 3 melodies covered, but we could definitely do another video around the point you mentioned. thank you for commenting appreciate you.

By Conjunct do you mean more dynamics? I don't understand what "linear" means when describing a melody.
@songwritersinternational9240
@songwritersinternational9240 8 ай бұрын
Yeah dynamics you can say. Conjunct is one of the 3 melodies that allow us to create those dynamics in the melody.

not quite. there is enough of a difference between the static and conjunct - whilst they are similar they don't have to be world apart. thanks for the comment.

sorry.wanted to watch but couldn't suffer that very loud hum. if you're gonna be talking about producing music,perhaps consider tidying up your audio problems. also,your mic sounds tinny and nasal, i was goingto leave because of that until i noticed the loud noise. i think the last video of yours that i really wanted to watch also had an audio issue, but i still subscribed. fix it...
