This is why I'm an Arrma guy. Yes, they aren't perfect, but they ALWAYS cost less to the similar Traxxas model, and they are usually faster as well. No brainer for me.

It's kinda funny really, Traxxas had to come out with the Wide max to stop the Max v1 constantly rolling. They have gone full circle & produced an even narrower Max v1, all be it a bit lower & longer. Lowering the truck down certainly hasn't made up for how much narrow the Max Slash is, still has the bad trait of the Max. when landing & bouncing onto its roof.

I'd think it's not for anyone who owns or has driven a Mojave. I drove one with both my 4s and 6s Mojaves and even the diehard Traxxas owner of the MaxxSlash agreed the Mojaves were better handling, jumping, and landing. I'm curious if all these owners will still be so happy once the new wears off and they've got a beat up $700 truck that does nothing great. Traxxas really should change their slogan to "at least it's tough"

I don’t really prefer any RC company but I do appreciate the fact that traxxas diffs seem to hold up… diffs are almost always a long fix where you rip apart half the truck 🫡

It sure is a tough truck, but it really needs to be with how easily it flips over after jumps and even just sliding. Not sure if this is typical behavior of this type of truck (SCT) or not, but really doesn't seem very forgiving.

You're kind of hitting the nail on the head with your comment. This is the way this type of truck drives. It's what I call a "driver's truck" then I enjoy learning how it wants to be driven. I think it creates a better driver in the end.

I believe that's because the Mojave is more of a basher style of vehicle where Traxxas gave an in between that and not quite a UDR. I think the thing is awesome not perfect but what I think it's going to do is help teach me how to drive better.

Trucks not for me, looks like the servo & servo saver is to weak. Certainly a buck & bronco ride for sure, for a truck of this size even though its a short coarse. Spends to much time on its roof, very unstable compared with a Mojave 6s or Mojave 4s.

It’s the servo saver bellcrank situation, if it’s the same as the wide maxx. Had the same issue after 1 pack and a lot of slop on my wide maxx. This thing needs an aluminum upgrade for it to steer precise. I don’t really get this rc. It’s not a great basher, doesn’t handle like a short course truck and why the hell 6s? Seems way too much. Looks like a nice some what power slide rig, but a 3s slash does that also pretty well. Don’t know man, but it’s not mine..

I think number one it's because you don't have to use all of its 6s until you're on that straight away with smooth jump transitions for a short course track and you are absolutely right it's definitely not a basher there's no short course vehicle that is a true basher. I guess people have to watch videos of how this type of vehicle in true reality has to be driven

Depends upon what you want to do with it and the type of terrain you can drive on. Longer wheelbase will fly better. A shorter wheelbase will be able to air control better ie trick truck

I dont know how Earl is speed running his lol I have the same problem my trim out of the box was almost full right to go straight there is zero pressure on the servo saver and those are heavy tires And I had to deal with the fan boys saying I dont know how to drive 700 out of my pocket and they think I am happy it does not perform a lcg chassis that rolls over faster than the old Ford Explorer with a low tire Traxxas told me its beyond my skill that its a level 4 on 4s wtf!!! Somehow I can handle the Xmaxx, Sledge, XRT, and Rustler just fine I really expected a better product.

I love mine, in my video i got mine ran over by a Mercedes and it kept going like it didn't happen. Then there was the crazy beating i put on it, submerged it in water. And it can still do 57 MPH bone stock with the body on. Its the Arrma Senton of Traxxas. Handles like crap like a Senton, but who cares? You can tune it how you like.

It’s a hard pass for me. I think it’s gonna be the problem child for traxxas. It appears completely unstable in these conditions. The body is a literal parachute. You gotta cut a lot of the rear end out of the body, just like the slash. And for that price, no way.

Hey guy do you think a bigger motor in my DBpro would significantly cut down on heat? Thing gets to 200 degrees in mild Ohio summers when I run it in any length of grass. Driveline is smooth as butter and I have dual motor fans on there. Motor bearing seems fine but idk… she’s a toasty girl for some reason

If you keep it on the ground your ok but it’s not balanced & does not fly or land well. That’s a problem especially for people that don’t have a lot of experience jumping. Now my Mojave 6s is pretty good but for it’s size it’s kinda light & that body just catches the wind making it loose distance so I guess as usual no RC is perfect but for the prices they probably should be.😂

Yip, it probably would too.! I've put my Senton through hell & two years later when it came time to replace it... I replaced it with another Senton.! It just made sense.. I bought a 2WD Boost & just swapped all the BLX parts over & I had a brand new 3S BLX for £180.!!👍 👍 👍 To be fair, I do own half a dozen short course trucks from other manufacturers.! This is actually the first time I've bought a second RC of the same type.... They're just that good.! Especially after fitting a pair of those knock off 4S metal diffs you can get from Ebay & Amazon for around £18 each.! I've had them in for about 18 months & they've barely worn.! They come with the input, crown gear & alloy diff case but no internals. I got sick of replacing the plastic ones every couple of months.
