Mazda's gonna kill it with this one. 2.0 Skyactiv-X supercharged HCCI inline four making about 188 hp and 170 tq, along with 30 percent efficiency gains, and available 6-speed manual. Expect 50 mpg or greater in the real world.

The only disappointing thing about Mazda3's is that no matter when you buy a new one, they almost always manage to make it look even better in the next generation. If this design makes the production 3, I might have to postpone my plans of getting a Miata as a second car.
