7:44, at this moment, when she said 'You're a group of five men', I got so infuriated at the fact that when she was doing this, she was only taking into account of who was there Thomas, Teresa, Newt, Minho, Winston, frypan, and Ares. I got angry at this because, if you're reading this you're probably thinking 'but wait, those ARE the only people in the group', so let me just say that if you are thinking that, you are wrong. In multiple scenes, you can see one of the few extra gladers in the wicked base with them escape with them into the Mall. The kid is called Jack. Think you Can recall seeing? He wore a black hoodie, was short, and had short, swept brown hair. You can see him next to the others at the far right when they're at the door quite clearly, actually. Sorry if I'm sounding quite angry about her not noticing him, but I tend to care about the extras a lot. You can also see him when they're eating, when they're in their dorms, when they arrive at the WICKED base, and when they're escaping. Though a lot of people on the internet noticed that after the mall scene, he wasn't seen ever again. That's because he got killed in the mall scene by a Crank, but his Death scene was deleted from the final cut of the movie. You can actually see the deleted scene on KZbin by searching Jack's death scene the maze runner scorch trials...

I know it’s a bit petty that I’m replying to this because your comment was a year ago but I’m obsessed with the movies, and I’ve watched them a million times. I only noticed the extra in the background during like the 5th time I watched it, and then watching it after that I literally couldn’t focus on anything else. The character is actually kind of interesting He was killed in the books during the lightning storm but in the movies he died saving frypan. He was cut out because he didn’t have any lines and he was always just in the background. Not even a single reaction shot. And movies usually have test audiences where people watch the movie before it’s released and analyse it just like an ordinary viewer. But they didn’t notice him up until his death scene and they were confused about who he was, so they cut out the scene
