18:48 - I've given a total of around 20 MBA interviews from IIM-L to IMI Delhi, and the starting point for preparing interviews should be this line. Interviews are short and nobody has the time or interest in listening to your larger stories. You need crisp, valuable and on-point answers.

@@pranjalvaity.406 IIM Rohtak(16/Feb/2020) BBA Grad, 30 Months of workex across 3 companies. Interviewers- 2(1M in early 30s and 1F in her 40s) Time- 9:45 M: Show us your CAT score card. Me: Sir can I share my screen I don’t have the hard copy with me right now. M: Yes please. Me: Shared the screen. M: Quickly introduce yourself. Me: Played the prepared song. F: I am giving you 30 sec. and you will have to speak on Men don’t cry for 2 minutes. Me: Can I note down my points on paper. F: Yes please. (At this point they went on Mute and F was talking in signals like I am having someone one the other line who will give me the points. May be because I had my headphones on) Me: Ok Ma’am, I am ready. Then I talked about the typical styreotype of the society which has been suplemented by the bollywood, and then mard ko dard nhn hota waali bullshit. Then I guess after 1.25 minutes I stopped. M: You have to speak for 2 minutes na.. Me: Sure sir I can go on and on if you want. F(Interrupted): You could have mentioned some celebrity who cried on TV. Me: Absolutely ma’am, as we already know Mr. Bachchan, the Angry young man, cried on National TV during KBC. He also got emotional on the Death anniversary of Mr. Dhirubai Ambani. F: Ok now.. we got your point. M: Gave me the Josephus problem with 100 men. Me: Sir I do not know the exact answer but I do know that this is a famous mathematical problem of Josephus, and this has to do with the power of 2. If I have to take I wild guess then I will say 63 or 65.. (Guys the answer was 73.) M: Wrong answer. Ok this time giving you a much easier problem. If draw an alphabet from the word assassination. Find the prob. Of it being a consonant. Me: 7/13.(With unconfident tone) M: Are you sure? This is much easier question. Me: ……. (With confused face cursing him in my mind.. F: Moving on.. Tell me about the Product Mix. Me: Told. F: Tell me about the Marginal utility. Me:Told. F: Tell me about your favourite subject in UG Me: Marketing. F: Tell me about the Ps. Me: There are several Ps.. During our course we were only 4Ps. Though as per Kotler there are 7. F: Tell me about the 7Ps. Me: Told her about the 6 couldn’t answer the 7th. F: Tell me about the Economic curve. Me: Is it related to Unemployement rate? F: Chhodo. M: Who is the chief economic advisor of India. Me: Shaktikant Das. M: Then who is the RBI Governor? Me: Shaktikant Das. M: Hmmm M: Tell me about the 5 Rivers of Punjab. Me: WTF!!! I said Indus.. M: Indus to nhn h.. Me: Because of the Indus water treaty I am guessing that one has to be Indus(Though all these 5 Rivers are tributery of Indus) M: Give us 3 Extra curricular Achievements of Yours. Me: 1st I will say when I won the Advertisement competition in all 3 years undisputed. F: Show Certificates. Me: Here it is.. Thankyou, you can disconnect the call. Not a single question on Workex, or PAP!
