I personally love TASM 1, but I'v only recently come to appreciate Tom's movies as a unique take on his character instead of trying to see it as a 1 to 1 retelling of the comics. I liked the video bro!👍🏾 Also I recognized the pizza tower music in the background lol

I always thought that Far From Home instead of Peter being pressured to become the Next Iron Man, It should've been Peter having to deal with grief over losing Iron Man and that it reminded him of Uncle Ben and having to come in terms with that.

Say what you want about how the MCU handled spiderman, but you can’t deny how they’ve set him up for the future. He has no one to go to, zero stark technology, and a comic accurate suit. They really have to fumble the next movie to fuck it up.

Ok, this video is gonna collect lots of controversies, as not only was the whole “marvel doesn’t understand Spider-Man” shtick outdated since 2019 (as they have proven that they not only do, but they just prefer to write a different take), but most of the corroborations u used here don’t back out some of the claims u had, like Peter refusing a spot in the avengers, he didn’t even become an avenger by his own choice so why is this a problem now all of a sudden? Sorry if this sounded either rash or provocative, I just don’t like the idea of the video and most of the corroborations used here, still ur channel is pretty good overall, keep up the good work

1. That's okay, you don't have to like the video. 2. I never said Marvel doesn't understand the character. I said the Marvel Cinematic Universe doesn't. I understand they're writing a different take on the character but when you write a Spider-Man(a character who's known for dealing with the world's crap on his own) who never mentions Uncle Ben and gets mentored by a billionaire that doesn't scream "understanding Spider-Man" to me. I'm fine with it being a different take, I and many others just don't like it. 3. He could have just said "Oh, I'm just here to help" or literally anything else lol I'm not saying it's the end of the world that he became an Avenger, it's just not like the character to do that. If you read the comics you should know he's the type of guy that works alone, he even refuses to join the Avengers multiple times. And thank you!

Personally even though I'm more of a fan of the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies, I still found the MCU Spidey movies a lot of fun rewatching, especially Homecoming because I do love the character growth of Peter learning that he doesn't need to be an Avenger to make himself happy. The only cons that I have MCU's take on Spidey that I can think of is that I wish there's an animated origin story because when Spider-Man: Freshman Year was announced, I was hoping that it would be a great opportunity to see how the MCU would do their own spin of how Spidey got his powers, only to find out that the show isn't canon to the MCU.

It's just my opinion, so being valid or invalid doesn't really apply at all, but ok. I never said it had to be a copy of the comics. Andrew is literally my favorite and he's way different from the original 😂 I'm okay with it being a different take on Spider-Man, but we as a community are allowed to speak up if he doesn't act like himself. Far From Home pressuring Spider-Man to become the next Iron Man not only disrespects and devalues Spider-Man but Iron Man as well. Yeah I could say a lot but we would be here for a long like years ago before Amazing Spider-Man 2 came out I always wanted Andrew Garfield to be the MCU Spider-Man like keep the first movie the same but change the rest of Amazing Spider-Man 2 One thing none of the Spider-Man movies haven’t done yet is looking at the organised crime side of things like there could have been missed opportunities in those previous movies and that they are going to do another multiverse movie for the MCU Spider-Man 4 which makes No way home completely pointless because they should have stick to the fugitive subplot and the sinister six instead wipe it off like it never happened and speaking of have you seen Across the spider Verse?

He got his name on a briefcase yeah but I don't count that as a mention. It just bothers me because he's always been such an important figure in Peter's life and nobody's even said his name once. For ATSV I'm not too sure but my theory is that maybe it's because of the spot that Miguel's alternate universe was corrupted. Like maybe every time he opens a portal it comes at the cost of a universe, unbeknownst to him. Idk it's just a theory lol

The fact that he has access to such a powerful suit whenever he wants is bad. Peter is famous for using his own initiative and limited resources to win the battle, it's his charm. By having the Iron Spider available at all times, it Removes the threat of the situation, it removes Peter's more down to earth nature
