We despair because we believe in God and get our expectations subverted, we despair because we believe in a cruel God, we despair because we don't believe in God and we feel we have no purpose. Are we sure the problem isn't us? 😂 I really enjoyed the comparison though, it's almost as 3 different gods/universes but all the same. I didn't watch one of the animes you mentioned and AIB is not over yet, but I'm excited to see if the end take on God/purpose will be similar to Angel Beats. Off topic: Geez, mister Ben, I almost thought you would finish a video without your catch phrase! (ie "but I digress") Was starting to feel like there was a part of the video missing 😉 Great job as usual! 😊 👍❤️

I do believe in God in some way, but I also think that people do try to make god into a puppet of some sort to control chaos. Also that they assume that god would act like they do even though god were some sort of thing or alien or 5th dimesonal being or something. Also that ppl make automatic assumptions of each other on all sides regarding a divine or supernatural being. a person can not believe in god and have some morals. Belief in god can also include beleiving in science (espeically since its a fact that its happened with Egyptian culture and the golden age of islam). They dont have to be one or the other

in angle beats she says she cant forgive god but why does he need to be forgiven... thats a real "grow up" moment for literally god... the god of their reality is so childish he would put people through hardship so that they would forgive him. i know the point of the show and how it ends up but its just weird that he would even do this if he is a whole ass god...

The idea of god has always been a human construct designed to try and help people find meaning from some external source and also to avoid taking a higher degree of responsibility for their actions. People try to thank god for the random good things that happen (instead of it just being good luck) or try to feel better about bad things because they are somehow part of some higher plan. At the end of the day god and religion aren't real and we all need to take personal responsibility for our actions. We make our own decisions and are responsible for our own actions, including their consequences. If your life sucks, then its your own fault... like it or not.
