Thank you Claire, I certainly had no idea about the use of rendre when talking about being sick! Personally, I would love to see one of your Everyday French 'Shorts' for an equivalent expression relating to warm weather, eg It's not as warm as yesterday or It is warmer than expected.

Thanks for the great video. With the exception of "to vomit", I'm pretty sure all of these examples have a direct equivalent in English with the use of "to render...", it's just that it's very old fashioned and nobody utilises it when speaking. "Her departure rendered me sad" is correct, albeit nobody would actually speak this way. Really enjoying your videos! 😊
