In Europe, Mecalacs are very popular - there are plenty of them. Most often, the middle versions - 8, I think.

I am just learning to use my 6MCR and I love it so far. I switched it from a JD60G and it's a completely different beast and a ball game. Did you make the protection cage yourself? Anything you'd do different about it? I'll have one custom made and looking at yours as a model.

Hey Sam, LOVED the color commentary. Not a single word offended me, but then again my friends aren't the Pat Boone type.

Hey Sam. I have been watching your channel for a couple years now. I started watching it because I was thinking of starting a mulching/land clearing (maybe some driveway restore seeing must driveways down here are sand and get washed out pretty often) business down here in Florida. I think I am going to pull the plug this summer, but can’t make up my mind on if I wanted to start with a CTL (ASV 100F/135F) or go for a Mecalac MCR (8 or 10) seeing it could do both CTL and Mini-X jobs pretty well. What would you do if you were starting up and had to pick one or the other?

I don't find much use for the loader bucket but it has come in handy. I have found that unless you are digging into hard ground you really don't need to put it against the blade to fill it. Ever wish you had the engon on the mecalac instead of the 080? I have been wondering if perhaps the normal excavator style maybe suites the engcon better?
@VBELTandSON3 ай бұрын
I think the 080 is a better rig for an engcon also. I like the mec with the rotobec suits almost all of my needs. I do think it would throw around an engcon nicely
@workplaytv3 ай бұрын
That thing is mint! How’s the reach compared to your 080?
@VBELTandSON3 ай бұрын
I think the mec reaches a little further out than the 080. Lifts way more. The 080 couldn’t set these blocks that far out
@workplaytv3 ай бұрын
@@VBELTandSON shit really! I wouldn’t have guess that on the reach. I may need to check one out

Why chain sometimes and grapple other times? Why not just grapple all the time?
@VBELTandSON3 ай бұрын
@@adamquainco safer to unload the blocks off the truck with the chain and I can’t fit the grapple in between each block when they are on the truck or trailer in pairs. I can’t lift two blocks at once but don’t want to do that over a truck
@adamquainco3 ай бұрын
@VBELTandSON that's valid. I haven't dealt with any of those blocks yet. But I was just thinking slide them apart with the grapple but I'm sure that would tear the crap out of the trailer and flatbed

As a conservative Christian subscriber I have to agree with other comments on Tavitt’s filthy language. Long time supporter and subscriber here who always appreciated your family friendly channel. I’ll keep watching and supporting your videos as long as he’s not involved. He keeps it clean on his videos, should do the same for his friend.
