To be extra clear in case someone is having trouble understanding. Basically, it depends on whether X is a full number or a fraction. You multiply the fraction's numerator by the whole number X if, like in the video, X is a whole number. 5*11=55, which you naturally divide by 6 to get 55/6. We now remove Y by our fraction 16-55/6 to find B. We need to equalize the denominators in order to fix this. additionally, since 16 is a technically 16/1 and its numerator and denominator are multiplied by 6 to obtain 96/6. From there, we may remove 91/6 from 55/6 to get 41/6, meaning that 41/6 is B. I hope this is helpful. And if X happens to be a fraction, well then you multiply M's numerator by X's, same goes for denominators. And you subtract your new fraction by Y and so on.
