Hey, just found your channel when I was looking for 2018 GASGAS 250 xc information. I'm going to look at an all original 2018 GASGAS 250xc later this week with 10 original original hours. I'm over in Oregon and ride a lot of single track and coming off a Beta 300. I was wondering if you had any thoughts on your GASGAS and anything I should look out for. Any setup for single-track that you used on yours? Thanks and great channel and beautiful riding!

It's a fantastic bike all around. It handles like a dream and really shines on the single track. Really it’s only downside is the e-start can be finicky. It’s best to avoid using the starter when the bike is cold or when it’s cold outside. Kickstart first then use the e-start afterwards. When Rieju took over, they redesigned the bendix cover and I highly recommend you look into that. It has a pressed in bearing inside the cover which significantly helps the bendix shaft spin inside the cover rather than get hung up. Also, a higher cranking battery helps. For parts, your best 2 places to look are www.MotoCenterAZ.com and www.cpd-usa.com (CPD carries all Rieju/Legacy GasGas OEM parts). As for setting it up, there’s not much to do. The suspension works amazing straight out of the box. I adjust the clickers by just a few clicks depending on what I’m riding and that’s it. Then you can tune the carb to your liking, as the factory jetting is on the rich side. For reference, I’ve got mine dialed in very well with a 40 pilot (for summer and 42 for cooler months), Suzuki NEDW needle, and 170 main.

It’s a 99. Some parts can be hard to find but the normal wear and tear parts aren’t. 👍🏻
