Okay, I'm sooooo close in tears..... You guys did your research, that reference to Leon Belmont forming the Vampire Killer from the Whip of Alchemy using Gandolfi's magic spell (which Gandolfi cast) and Sarah sacrificing her soul to make sure no one else suffers her fate.... I have always loved your adaptations but... WOW this is the best one yet lads!
@spinyjustspiny32896 жыл бұрын
I love this one in particular because it implies Vampire Killer's power is born from Sara experiencing full-on righteous fury for the first time in her life at the thought of being torn away from Leon, and that she still has a VERY active presence while her soul is bonded to it. It gives her a greater sense of agency after her sacrifice.

@@ShinoSarna Konami is way, WAY too dispassionate about their intellectual properties to hold an opinion on this. I have no idea why netflix would have imposed anything like that on them either. It's pretty clear that the writers just didn't want grant or death, presumably for the sake of tonal consistency. Ironic, considering that show's tonal inconsistency was one of its bigger flaws.(I say that having enjoyed the show, I just thought it had a lot of issues.)

It's not that great, the gameplay is fun enough but the story is bare bones for the most part and the acting is awful save for one character at the end who gives 110% for the role. This song has more depth and remorse about Sarah's death than the actual game

Their lyrics and music make me wish the Megas were writing the Castlevania series. Their music incorporates the lore so much while also kind of adding to it in a way that makes sense. I would like an anime of lament of innocence. Make it a dark gothic horror with action and drama so, you could have the horror and the action but also , the drama and emotion like what is conveyed in this song of a story that set everything into motion. As Trevor and Simon and Richter and so many descendants carry out the promise Leon made and Sara’s will. Idk Vampire Killer is more than just a whip. It’s a symbol , that is imbued with a soul. Forged in tragedy to go forth and be used to destroy evil.
@MasonTheStoryteller2 жыл бұрын
really amazing work. I really wish that Leon referred to the Vampire Killer Whip as "Sarah", during moments throughout the later half of the game in Lament of Innocence. The game's have always had really amazing lore ideas, but not the best narrative execution, thank you for making this song, it's a glimpse of the full potential the IP has.

I can't even begin to put into words how much I adore this song. Not only is it catchy and great in terms of composition, but I love that it was written by people that genuinely care about the series. Thank you so much for this.
@sillyputtyisfun7567Ай бұрын
you can say the song is about a tragedy but all I hear is that a man gets to say that his named weapon is his bride and kick monster butt alongside her eternal soul, allowing her to carry down the legacy of his will to his descendants. That's fucking badass for what is supposed to be a tragic reality.

Met some of 'em at Nerdapalooza in Florida one year at a comic book store after a KILLER show. I have nothing but good things to say about this band.
