I was born and bred in Windhoek, but every holiday I would go to the north, my grandmother would make to do chores and the hardest of them all was to start fire ( pomasinga) I would even cry especially when it was the rainy season 😂 but now seeing you struggle I’m honestly grateful I thought she was hard at me because she didn’t perhaps love me but today I know better. There is certain stuff I still can’t do but most of them I’m really good at. I’m grateful may her soul rest in peace 😢❤

Nxoo this is soo sweet Many things that we were asked to do as a kid we thought it was some sort of punishment. But on the other hand growing up you’ll thank them later. As for me it’s not that I didn’t want to or my mom protected us from doing the chores. We just never had an opportunity to do them. We only had our maternal grandmother and whenever we would go for holidays the big girls/ cousins didn’t feel like wasting time with us coz they just want to do the job and finish. And then she also passed on early in our childhood life ( May her beautiful soul rest in peace) so honestly we didn’t have a chance to learn .. then on my dads side We went to the beach for holidays ( Tate Ombwiti) sure none of my cousins from my dad can do that. We are the most wambu of them all 😂😂😂😂 But we love and we learn, now I know to make my kids learn earlier in their life’s 😂
