The Mercedes-AMG GT R is a SAVAGE BEAST!!!

The test drive I have been most excited for all year has arrived, the Mercedes-AMG GT R on Portimao race circuit! In the same week we hear that the Beast of the Green Hell set an astonishing record 7:10 laptime at the Nurburgring Nordschleife, it's time to have a go myself both on road and track.
With the added personal interest due to my AMG GT R being on order for delivery during 2017, it's a perfect opportunity to go fully over the car in extensive detail. I've attempted to structure the video to get the main points in the first period followed by a more detailed look as we progress through.
There is no question that the 4l BiTurbo V8 beast is seriously capable but I'm also blown away by the sense of occasion and experience being behind the wheel. This is a savage beast!

FaZe Vision I believe currently it's known as the R50. That's an internal designation though. Expect around 1200 hp with electric motors on the front wheels as well, leman prototype level of aero, and 1200 kg of weight. It will be an absolute monster

Shmee planned to use this car as his road-cruising GT car but it might well be the sportiest and fastest car of his current garage. AMG has made a step-up with the handling of this supercar compared to the SLS but that's not the best of what AMG is capable of. They will show what they are truly made of next year with their Hypercar.

The LT IS faster than the ACR, i dont know abou this beast tho, i guess the AMG GTR is faster, but think about it, the Aventador SV did a 6:59 on the ring, and in all tests the LT is faster about 2 seconds for each minute on the track, so potentially, the McLaren would be able to do a faster lap than the 918 too, taking into account its faster accelerating than the aventador over 70 mph and takes corners better. So if the SVs lap time at the ring is true, the McLaren is probably faster than the AMG GTR. If not, the amg is, and in my opinion, it looks like it is with this brilliant rear wheel steering... Well done mercedes, you made me tell that my favorite car is slower than something cheaper :)

Fantastic video Tim! Been in love with this car since they first showed it and we first heard it, was that in Goodwood if I remember correctly. Green hell magno is stunning color, if you want something different take the yellow one, also fantastic, just please not that dull grey or some other subdued color, make it scream, this car deserves it!
