Marc is a musical chameleon. And he can back it up with great vocals and somehow manages to evoke emotion. He knows who he is and I believe he does it just to have fun and let the masses enjoy.

Marc is not trying to be Pavarotti. Considering that he has never studied opera or any singing he is doing famously.

Plus all the instruments he plays. He's blessed with a multi faceted musical talent, like James Blunt.

This is done all at one time. Notice the camera pans behind Marc. One side of his face is a Pavarotti-esque beard and the other is a Freddie Mercury-style moustache. The ONLY time it isn't just Marc singing live is when they have both voices singing in duet near the end. This is the Video that made Céline Dion into a total Marc Martel fangirl. She is a big Queen fan and even sings "The Show Must Go On" in her concerts. As far as "the other opera singer" with whom Freddie Mercury sang, that would be Montserrat Caballé (La Superba). When he first heard her sing, he became almost obsessed with her singing and had to buy every album of hers he could find. He said she had the best voice in the world. You can see, from interviews they did together, the admiration was mutual. They actually became very great friends and she helped dedicate the statue of Freddie, in Montreux, along with Freddie's parents and the surviving members of Queen. Their most famous duet is Barcelona (link below), although Freddie wrote several duets for them. She actually wanted him to do some strictly operatic duets with her, but he felt his fans would think he was betraying rock and roll by singing opera. How very very wrong he was. It would have been wonderful. Anyway, I give to you... Someone lock Marc Martel in a room and make him sink every song written in the style of Freddie Mercury....yes I know it’s wrong and cruel but humanity needs it....I am so thankful Marc is in the world doing this makes my bones happy.

that jaw.... that teeth...that lips...that that voice.... just freddie... plot twist: feb 1976 queen concert in NY..is like just 5 hours from marc martel mom living (montreal)..confirmed marc mom went to NY that night for the concert... and 9 months later (nov 1976) marc born in montreal.. n guess whaaaatt... in dec 76 mary and freddie broke up... mary knew freddie hv a 1month son?

I have been saying that for awhile but had no hardcore facts. Forget about their similarities in voice for a minute. Look at the intangibles. The lower jaw, the chin, the eyes for starters. His gestures, his ease at which he sings going from full voice to head voice without breaking a sweat. And the ability to bring out emotions when he sings. No vocal training just like Freddie. We may never truly know but some things we get a gut feeling about. I cannot deny that Marc to me unless proven otherwise is Freddie's love child.
@aes96394 жыл бұрын
Hey I'm pretty sure that he's Freddie child too....

I think you have a very nice voice. I'm going to sniff around and find more. Pavarotti was wonderful. His passion was visible on his face. His veins would bulge on his face. Tenors are great, but a good, rich baritone cannot be beaten in my opinion.

It seems like you have reacted to many songs from different part of the world like japan, korea,usa,France but you haven’t reacted to where I come from VietNam, I think you should react to this song which has been my 3rd favorite song for a while, why not the 1st favorite song of mine that I should suggest to you? You may ask? Well I think it wouldn’t fit you so listen to my 3rd favorite song. Also you don’t have to react to it but I’m glad if you could : D Thằng Điên: g.co/kgs/9ZX4wK
