Yeah you can’t just stand still you have to move to matter what, Luckily though it’s easy to sling backwards now just in case you accidentally went or a team mate/soul that’s surrounded by enemies but yeah the higher the rank the more you have to move

@@nursemain3174 Yeah you have to worry about your passion,When to damage boost because Damage boost can help make the kills go quicker, When you can Rez because you can’t cancel it, You have to hide form snipers, It’s like your a bird and your being chased by everyone it’s difficult depending on your rank

Yeah, it really changes how you have to think about the map. I think they did a really good job of making her movement mechanically more simple and accessible while raising the skill ceiling on what you can do with it because the possibility space is so large. I really gotta get out of the habit of keeping GA active through the entire slingshot though, especially when I’m doing the backwards one, which seems to launch you a bit faster for some reason. Easy to accidentally go too far and end up careening past whatever cover I was aiming for or go too far past a corner and lose LoS to teammates. Or, I just lose beam connection.

i LOVE watching your mercy plays, movement, etc especially with the pop up captions to explain why you made certain decisions and why that decision may have been good or even bad! your tips have been helping me learn and allows me to apply them to my games, especially since i never got into overwatch when the first game was out. plus your gameplay is just so entertaining to watch! i enjoy your content a lot, keep it up!

Here is a little advice for ya all: When res in on cooldown but a teammate is down, you can ping their fallen soul so Mercy shouts "I can't resurrect them yet!"

Reminds me of TF2 when B.A.S.E jumper soldiers used to able to manually deploy their parachute which allowed for insane maneuverability after rocket jumping hto the point where if you were a master at using it you were untouchable.

I have a question for my first time playing mercy, when should I heal and when should I damage boost? I feel like I'm pretty good with her movement, but I don't know if I should damage boost or heal. Because, sometimes me not knowing when to damage boost or heal ends up losses us the fight :(

For healing, you should first think of who is a priority. For example, tanks have much more health, squishies(?) {low health heros} should be a priority to heal before swapping to tanks which is what I do, and for damage boost usually when the character receiving the boost isn't too low on health {full, above half} these are a few simple tips just tell me if you need more

Ur main priority should be damage boost, as it is mercy's whole strength. The other person summed it up pretty well but as mercy u mostly want ur other healer to heal people (especially tanks) so they get their ult faster and u don't steal ult charge from them. (most, if not all support ults are better than valk). One specific tip is to keep ur high charge zarya alive. She should be in pretty much every ranked game and when zarya dies all of her charge gets lost so yeah

I've been playing mercy a lot and I'm getting better at her mechanics but when I'm reviving someone I accidentally super jump and lose my res😭. Quick question. Is anyone else having a hard time climbing ranked as mercy. I solo Que a lot and because of that my wins are inconsistent and by that I mean I don’t just win 7 in a row. I usually lose any ware from 3-10 games before my 7 and it only ever gives me 1 rank up or ranks me down. I have around 50 hours on mercy and I feel like I do pretty good however the game just doesn’t let me rank up with her.

Just gonna be honest here, it’s probably a skill issue. Also, I don’t know who you play but if you only play Mercy, I’d advise you start trying other supports to diversify your skill set. Some champs are just better in different team comps.

Im also having a super hard time ranking up with her. Even if I hard pocket our best dps it just feels like I can't get anything done. I was on a major lose streak today. Decided to switch it up and play moria and brig so I could be more aggressive and get kills myself. Worked so much better and I turned the day around to a win streak. I don't know if this is because I got ranked gold 3 but it feels like you have to take matters into your own hands so much more now and can't just play the passive healer like you could in ow1

@@bibbedcracker121 tbh I don’t think it’s my skill issue. I’m not trying to brag but on average I end games with about 12k+ healing and around 1000 dmg boost. Now I’m sure ur wondering “what does that have to do with it that just means you heal a lot more than dmg boost?” Well the think is I usually end with around 45-50% healing and 50-55% dmg boost which mean I on average dmg boost more than healing

@@bibbedcracker121 the reason why that matter is because that means my dps are not really hitting their shots if I mostly dmg boost and I only have 1000 dmg boost. You see what I mean. If they hit their shots that means I would have a lot more dmg boost. I also average 4-5 deaths at most in comp which in my opinion isn’t bad when the rest on my team usually has 7-12 or anywhere in between. I also do play Baptist but I like to try and grind out mercy because I have more fun with her.

@@suspect_3k712 I think u just pointed out the issue urself, if ur dps arent hitting their shots mercys main utility is useless. Mercy is a hero thats very dependent on her team which makes her one of the hardest heroes to climb with tbh, especially low rank because ur putting ur resources into someone that doesn't utilize them. Honestly I would just recommend using another hero till u reach a higher rank, because u can overall provide more for your team with lets say moira/bap/ana in lower ranks

L shift + Crouch quickly and you can stay in the air forever basically

dude idk how u manage OW2 now, its so hard to be mercy even with the new movement, when ur DPS and tank has zero game sense!!! Mercy should have like either her pistol damage increased and ez to swap to or like some rework on the supps. So hard to be console mercy in OW2
