Very happy to see soundtrack releases finally happen and it’s interesting to get that alt/early version of the ‘After the Merge’ cue, though I hope we get the final cue soon too and hope these releases continue. The merge has one of the most unique leitmotifs in ninjago and it's so cool how it gets transformed from super unnatural/unfamiliar to the new normal, going from one of the strangest possible keys to natural minor, then possibly building the groundwork for the "rising" theme which starts going back up the scale (which is my interpretation at least). If the ending section is in fact an early imagining of that track, I am curious if it was before the rising theme was written or if it was always going to be added after, because here it feels like here they just planned on using the altered ninjago theme.

I cannot imagine how horrifying this must have been for the inhabitants of other realms. As far as we know, they aren't even aware that other realms are a thing in Chima for example. Imagine what kind of crisis that would cause there, even though they happen to be isolated rather well with their world being a floating island and all (they don't know that either though)

this is so sick! the percussions and wind instruments at the start are really setting how terrifying the merge mustve been for the people in ninjago. and lets not forget the iconic sound whenever the ninja come with its eastern twist and the epic orchestral entrance. ooooh man and lastly the end part was just filled with curious wonder on what the aftermath of the merge gave them. 17 realms combined into one and has opened many doors to explore. this soundtrack is just amazing. it encapsulates what and how the show is going to be about. amazing work ninjago team!

Is this all one track, or multiple? The distinct pauses make it feel way more like 3 separate short tracks than one cohesive piece of music. That last bit is really good, one of my favourite pieces of music from the new series - but there was also more to it when I heard it in the episode itself. Whatever played at the end was either not the full shebang, or I’m thinking of a different track that just happens to sound INCREDIBLY similar. Whatever the case, I really hope we get to hear the full deal. An additional note, if you guys are ever chopping up tracks and putting them together in these releases (like what the musical journeys did), please don’t. At all. Please. Leave every little bit of scoring in there that the composers had originally. Don’t skip over any sections or gloss over any notes that don’t sound as “musical”, like the Journeys did, because that’s an important part of it being _soundtrack._ That’s part of what makes the soundtrack so amazing, impressive, and memorable, and it’s the reason a lot of fans such as myself hold this music in such high regard! Thank you guys, though. I know this music means a lot to me and so many others.
