Crazy to hear you mentioned Kev, learnt the exact same technique from him as my coach is a black belt under Kev! Came here to remind myself exactly how the technique works and was so surprised to hear you mentioned him! Awesome.

great pass. i performed it today vs butterfly guard and the knee control concept allowed me to pull it out having only seen the video once. now i'm back for the details. really strong pass i liked it. thanks Nic!.

By far one of my favourite guard passes 👊 I find it to be extremely effective

This pass is no joke. Im a lowly white belt and i kid you not have been catching blues and purples with this and quite often. Once you have both grips, remember to immediately extend your arms and its a done deal. i really love this pass especially on spider guard players.

Thanks alot for this Nic. Im a blue belt at RMNU Ireland and I've been hitting this for months on everyone including the coaches, works a treat!! Im struggling climbing to control the side control but maybe im too low to begin with when clearing legs, i'm still perfecting it! Thanks again. Oss.

Guy who made the video: thank you for providing MORE content, not less. Guys who are watching the video: video players like KZbin have this sweet tool called 'fast forward'; learn how to use it...and stop bitching about a skilled guy taking his own time and effort to give you too much of a FREE product! He hasn't even monetized this video! Smh

Tried it today. The problem was the guy could open his knee and stop me passing. Another guy told me to grab the cloth close to the knee with one side and the other side just grab the top of the hip.

Tried it but opponent stiff armed and forced his legs open, tried to straighten my arms etc but he could get his leg out every time.

Hi Nic,excellent post as always,I’m trying to work it,and have had some success,but on occasions my opponent is posting and my head,and stopping me from progressing!!,how do I counter that? Thank You in Advance
@hadidta6 жыл бұрын
Jiu Jitsu Brotherhood hi Nic ,thanks for replying,as soon as I engage my opponent and drive my head in down towards his hip,I make incremental progress,however,he stiff arms my head,which halts my progress

Since all the Khabib we've been getting, do you ever use this with a triangle on the legs?
@Toddbarcey6 жыл бұрын
@@JiuJitsuBrotherhood Thanks again Sir. This worked awsome on 2 higher belts last night. I felt awkward trying to Khabib leg triangle on his legs and move up (I need to practice more) but I noticed it gets them focusing on either their legs or pushing my head, leaving the other open for attack -- that is until they get better at countering me with it. Either way, it's definitely going up front in the Arsenal against the butterfly though.

Great technique, thanks for sharing. One constructive criticism: this was an immensely long video for one simple technique. It had me skipping through the video in frustration.
@eclix7 жыл бұрын
Fair enough. Actually I didn't word that particularly well, I meant it took a long time to see what the technique was (4 minutes in was the "aha" moment). A 10 second demo at the beginning, followed by all the details would be easier to follow.

Way too long man... we Bjj addicts don't need an intro of talking :D Thx for the technique though.
