@@RonaiHenrik - 5000 isn't that low, they just don't enforce it enough, clearly... Not sure you would want to get a 5000r fine every day... It's not too far off a parking fine in the UK... I wouldn't want to be hit with that too often. And I imagine they pay a lot more when the car is towed... I don't understand why the city doesn't just enforce the law and rake in all that revenue, doesn't seem to make sense.

They should have a police officer with this group. SADB would stop someone driving on the sidewalk, and the cop could write them a ticket. The best solution would be to put posts in the ground so cars could not drive on the sidewalk.

WHY DON'T THEY LEAVE TICKETS ON PARKED CARS IN RUSSIA? In Toronto you have to renew your license plates yearly/biyearly. If you have unpaid tickets you can't renew it. That would easily fix this problem and make the country a ton of money. Quick fix.

@@diogeneskoolaid8437 They won't install poles since ambulances and cops actually do use sidewalks in emergency cases during traffic, and that is pretty much why they are so large and well paved, it would simply slow drastically these services if they had to remove each and every pole

@@diogeneskoolaid8437 Yeah idk why but they decided to let emergency vehicles use sidewalks as a means of road during emergencies. Sets a bad example but it just goes to show how backwards and poorly the entire road system is set up unfortunately.

In the US there would be Ballards (steel poles) blocking the sidewalk. With only enough room for pedestrians and bicycles to pass through. They aren't very expensive to install.

Michael Mccarthy, bollards cannot be installed. Like these putzes who illegally avoid heavy traffic, emergency vehicles are legally allowed to use the sidewalks with sirens and lights on.

@@fedupwithvulgarities5229 if emergency vehicles typically pass heavy traffic by using the sidewalks, that's a problem. Seperation of vehicles and pedestrians is very important - obviously for safety.

@@michaelmccarthy4615 in most countries the emergency services are allowed to take the sidewalk if necessary too. In these old cities roads are usually narrow and overcrowded, so it might be the best option / least worst solution.

@Random Moura interesting. In the US, about the only time you would see an emergency vehicle on the sidewalk would be if they were chasing someone maybe. And that is pretty rare. Today vehicles have a harder time going anywhere they aren't supposed to be.

its a design problem. those space used by car is a smarter way of use if the government is smart. parking just beside the building that looks like roads and big enough space for car to go in. of course they will do it lmao.

@@Ian-hn8ty It is a cultural problem. Sidewalks are clearly defined and designated according to the Russian traffic code. Anybody who reads the Russian traffic code will understand what is a Russian sidewalk. These drivers are either too ignorant or too belligerent to drive properly according to the traffic code.

In my personal experience with Russian cops, they were perverts, child molesters, and criminals in disguise. That was very long time ago when I was a child. I since grew up in US and realized that cops here are mostly useless (from personal experience). That said, every country has good people and good cops. In this video someone has shown to be useful as a cop. That was the point of my comment.

Heck, they do that there, literally. One episode these guys did there was a street that's supposed to go in both directions, but because so many illegally parked for years everyone thought it was a one way road. They will drive and park wherever, and then threaten who ever even if they are the ones in the wrong.

Its a waste of time fixing it. You need to fix the design problem so stupid people dont abuse it. Either having cars able to park just beside the building and reduce the sidewalk space or car cant even attempt to go in is a smarter problems than telling people you are wrong as a citizens. In Britain, we have 3-foot solid metal barrier poles that rise out of the concrete floor to stop traffic from entering a sidewalk and emergency first responders have a remote control code that lowers those barriers under the ground so they can get through during a medical emergency or when there's a fire. I hope Russia installs these kinds of sidewalk barriers in the future and make the lives of their pedestrians a lot safer.

If it was a really hot day, and the bridge was low and above a nice cool body of water, then I probably would.

It is the other way around in their thoughts. If everyone would be forced to jump off the bridge, but few people rebelled and would not jump - what would you do? ...the bad drivers think what they do is righteous.

Sorry mr perfect guy who dont jaywalk. I am going to design a stupid sidewalk design where you need to walk 1km to cross the road. You better dont do it. Its government and design fault, not the drivers. Everyone will act ignorant for their own comfort.

They justify themselves with this faulty logic of theirs; the logic is that since other people do it (illegally driving and parking on the sidewalk), this must not be a bad thing. This logic is wrong on two counts 1) it's actually contradicting the rule of law 2) it's anti-social behaviour with a strong potential to harm innocent pedestrians.

This channel is underrated af, in all videos there's a level of professionalism that it's scarce in KZbin these days. In every video all you guys talk is facts while the other partly is just mostly nonsense. The cause is just and pure. Please keep it up, future generations won't forget.

I assumed Russia police and traffic officers would be strict. Everyone breaking traffic laws all over...total chaos.

@@tarnsand440 from what others have said they don't care because it's more work than they deem it being worth the effort, but that's bred a lack of caring by the citizens who don't follow the rules.
