The Israelites had to slaughter the deified idol Lamb, and throw its blood on their doorposts for all to see. It was a statement against Idolatry, and shown as a faith in a G-d they could not see. He also refers to his followers as "fish". Mark 1:17 (NLT), “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people.” Yeshua used metaphors all the time in his teachings. I am assuming you've heard these arguments before from other "teachers"...this is why I said you must read the scriptures unbiased with the heart of a child...meaning untainted, innocent.
