Your in your out there is no gray. Jesus sat with the sinners yes . He spoke truth to them but he did not hang out partaking in their sin. Big difference. Jesus calls us to go share the Gospel but not to be friends with the world -he would not break his own instructions. Even examples of people wanted to join Jesus and Jesus said basically that first you must give up the world to follow him.

I Think you missed everything said here and also, Jesus DID Befriend many people. Here's one verse that expresses this : "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you". Jesus is a true friend because he laid down his life for us." so your statement is pretty off.
