A game i think you would love is a new indie release called Sorry, We're Closed. Plays like resident evil or silent hill with fixed camera angles. Narrative driven with snappy dialogue and spooky environments. It's my current obsession and one of my favorite games of this year so far

I can't remember from any of your videos if you've experienced much VR gaming, but thinking of unique horror experiences like this one reminds me of one I'm playing on Quest. It's called Killer Frequency. You play a radio DJ in a small town who has to take over as a 911 operator. A serial killer from way back has returned, and people trying to call 911 get you. So you have to talk them through these situations using various tools at the station. Some of the spooky pink and purple lighting reminds me of Riverdale.

I never got into the whole Instant Messaging thing until Steam messaging became a thing, but I'm definitely feeling that immaculate anemoia (nostalgia for things you didn't experience yourself) seeping out of this like the juices of a medium-rare steak. As for John's bidet experience, I personally experienced my first bidet moment in a Turkish barbershop near Morden. I had to quickly step in to use the loo, and found that it had no toilet paper, and instead had a bidet attachment. It was definitely a fresh feeling, and a bit extreme because I misjudged the voracity of the settings. But at least now I know how to use the three seashells of this History.

ho-lee! I like this format for a horror game. In horror games you kind of always have that feeling of being aware that you're playing a video game but by making you play a video game in-game(and that game is well done and draws you in) that uses conventional horror game genres it makes the "real world" feel a lot more real when you push away from it. All the time I'm just thinking of all the creative ways you can mess with the player with this format, and how it's a way you can have non-diegetic elements as part of the experience. It's one of those ideas that makes me wish I was a game dev savant so that I could start testing the limits of the idea, it's so interesting to me.

playing through Silent Hill 4 with a friend was an incredibly fun experience, kind of baffled to have heard every so often in the years since that lots of people don't like it (but boy do I hope John streams it at some point)

Check out Observation at Freddy’s! I’m a professional dev but I made a free fangame combining Observation Duty and Five Nights at Freddy’s, though it doesn’t require knowledge of either series. I think it does a good job at keeping you constantly tense and I’d love to hear your thoughts!
