Thx for perspective Bo. This will be my first game of V3. Excited - SNAFU crew run great events. Brought the Polish Lancers -l for two reasons 1) rule of cool 2) Polish national rule to run using field craft turn 1. We shall see how it goes 😂

I'm kinda surprised nobody took Belgian or French lists to a recon game, it seems to me that French Signalies or Belgian Chasseurs loaded in VDUB carriers would be pretty decent in V3, particularly the French because you can take those infantry as regulars and still give them the tough fighters rule for just 7 more points on a VDUB riding squad. I apologize for my spelling as autocorrect doesn't want to help me out here.

Quick update: Netherlands 1st, Italians 2nd and Poland 3rd. We neded the tertiary tie breker to determine the winner. Italy lost 5 units during the day and the Netherlands lost an impressive 4 dice to seal the victory (and favorite opponent)

Infiltrators rock in v3, but the Recon Rumble scenarios emphasize first wave, not prepared positions, and there aren’t FOOs or spotters to take out early. It is a different type of force build. Not surprising to see the number of German forces being tabled. They are going to be dominant in the game until other army books put some meat on the bone for other nations.

Germany is super STrong right now. 6 to 7 man team German Heer with double LMG, 10 Shots. I brought 2x Motorcycles with Beiwagen for 40p, 4 MMG shots + Recce. Panzer 3 is still Good. Armor is Great. I think you have to dedicate yourself to 3, maybe 4 Platoons. But List building right now could be very Creative.

Darn, I was hoping you’d tell me how to beat all of the lists. 😜 These will be my first ever games of V3, and my first BA games in many years, so wish me (and my Finns) luck. We’ll see if just watching Bo on KZbin is enough preparation for a tournament. 😅

Surprisingly, I managed to get 2 wins, but the auto-cannons in the list with 3 pzII’s walloped my troops for a major loss in that game.

I think you're too mentally trapped in your competition bubble. There are also players who just want to have fun and enjoy the experience. Models have to be bought, built and painted. Not everyone has the money or the time to put together a new army list for a tournament just because they absolutely have to win. There are also players who compile their army list at least somewhat historically correct and therefore the choice of weapons is the same. Criticism is good, but yours is often rather arrogant.
