Death Stranding 2 is definitely going to be doing something like this. Higgs is definitely going to have some kind of surreal concert in a cutscene, Kojima made it a point to mention that Troy Baker is a musician and vocalist on the special episode of HideoTube, that's an obvious tell of what they're planning on top of the fact that Higgs is literally using a cool ass electric guitar as a weapon. The only question is whether it's a cover of a licensed song or an original one.

Between the forgotten skateboarding game that literally everyone only remembers the demo for in MGS2 (which only had characters and levels from that game in said demo, so I don't blame folks for not knowing lol), the Monster Hunter levels and Assassin's Straw Box in Peace Walker, to MGS3's Guy Savage nightmare and Ape Escape levels, and plenty of other silly crossovers throughout the years, there's definitely multiple timelines where something like this was official and probably got the same kinda treatment as the skateboarding demo.
