Kurt Angle's rise to the top is one of my favorite stories. My favorite moment of his was when he "interviewed" The Rock. That segment was so damn hilarious and I suggest you watch it if you haven't. Kurt Angle was born for greatness during this time seeing as though he had became King Of The Ring of 2000 and captured the European Championship and Intercontinental Championship and held them until Wrestlemania 16 where he lost them to Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit respectively losing the IC belt to Benoit and European Title to Jericho then at No Mercy 2000 he would capture the WWF Championship pinning The Rock

The difference Between Kurt Angle Rookie year and Ronda Rousey Rookie year was it didn’t felt forced. Storylines/build ups/character development/obstacles and payoff were better and naturally genuine built with Kurt Angle Vs Ronda Rousey being forced in on a debut that was suppose to spotlight Auska Royal Rumble win, a pivotal moment for her being overshadowed by Rousey. Despite Rousey rookie run was impressive but it didn’t feel natural and genuine like Kurt Angles rookie run...

Man 2000 WWF was so good. Angles rise and the pushing of guys like Jericho and Benoit along with the awesome tag team scene really strengthened the undercard of the company and led to great ppvs. And yeah taker vs angle at fully loaded was meh but that show was great. If taker vs angle was on the level of the 03 and 06 matches thats the best B ppv ever.

Kurt angle was not a failed babyface turned heel in his 1st few weeks. It was intended for him to be a heel with a face gimmick.

Normally agree with the majority of your views. As a fan who watched at the time Kurt was seen as a goofball which was why people didn’t see him as a main event talent. He was entertaining and great and went onto be great. Also at the end when you said he was bigger than the Rock in the invasion angle no chance lol he was great but never the man at any point in the Austin/Rock era. He got great ovations later because of things linked to the United States and that’s why he was celebrated and the people cheered for the WWF over WCW. Hence the night Ric Flair showed up he was right back to being boo’d. My rant over lol but keep up the great content!

I'll say Brock's first year is better. He beat top stars within 6 months and became WWE Champion, won Royal Rumble and main evented Mania. Kurt DID not win the Royal Rumble nor main event Mania his first year. He also did not beat the top stars clean like Brock did.
