Is your Church founded by Jesus Christ? Or founded by Joseph Smith? Charles Parham? John Wesley? John Calvin? In Matt.16:18 how many Church founded by Jesus Christ? That is a simple question.

I was privileged to labor under him on my Mission. In fact he introduced me and my companion to his home town of Dumaguete and arranged for us to live with his parents until other arrangements could be made. I love, honor and admire him!

President Lim was the Temple President in Manila Temple when we used to attend sessions almost every Friday night in the 1990’s.

Filipino LDS here...The Philippines is a fruitful ground because of our Christian heritage established by the RC in 1500s...filipinos are very hospitable and welcoming to foreign visitors to their homes...we easily gravitate to spiritual things...

Wow. You get the best guests. I really love hearing about the church in other places. (A Utah Saint here) Sharing the stories of faith and courage from around the world blesses us all. Thank you both! (My husband was Tongan and I learned some extraordinary stories of faith and courage from Tongan Saints.)

Brother Lim shall always be President Lim to me, he was my mission president in Naga. He was then and has always been a great inspiration for me. I was assigned to the office at the end of my service and my desk was next to his office. He is a spiritual giant and so humble and loving.

I had the opportunity to serve with President Lim as one of his missionaries from May 1991 until his release in June 1992. He and his dear wife were wonderful and humble leaders. Also quick with a smile and a word or two of encouragement. I remember sitting in his office (after I'd been in the Philippines for about a month) while he gave a pretty good rebuke to a missionary who'd broken some mission rules. After the exchange, he said something like "Elder Johnson, there will be many times during your service where you'll have the opportunity to just "go along" with missionaries who are breaking the rules, or you can "stand up" for what should be done. Please have the courage to "stand up" so you and others are saved from heartache". It was great advice that I've tried to live by since those days. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to hear from my mission president one more time.

God doesn't change but the people and the interpretations/understandings about him do. Hence the changes in the doctrines and policies of the church. It's up to anyone to determine whether the church is true or not depending on their testimony.

Elder Lim mentioned sacrifice. At one time in the early days a second chapel needed to be built. Everyone was asked to Sacrifice. He felt he couldn’t ask people to sacrifice more than himself, so he sold his home and his car and moved his family into an apartment and began using public transportation, and contributed all of the proceeds to the cause. A funny anecdote is that one night when I was working in the Mission Home a meeting went late and so we Elders were dispatched to take President Lim home in the Mission Van. Metro-Manila’s streets are confusing, especially after dark. He knew what buses to take to get home, but as the busses had stopped running, he couldn’t follow one and in the end, we couldn’t find his house, so we brought him back and put him up in the Mission Home and then he took the bus home in the morning. He thought it was just as funny as we did!

Unfortunately this man failed to consider Christian history before joining the LDS. If the so called Great Apostasy were in fact true, then all who consider themselves Christians today should join the LDS. The plain truth is, there is absolutely zero evidence of such an event. In fact, it was the Catholic Church who determined which books should form both the old and new testaments in the 4th century AD. How is it that an apostate church could accomplish such a great work as that?

@@berdytv3739 Biblical accuracy. . . Doctrine. . .Where in the Bible does it say to pray to Mary ? If they do, they will not get an answer. . .She is not Diety ! Mormons have their own book that teaches them that if they obtain a certain walk that they can be a God of there own universe. . . Which is not Biblical at all. . . The Bible teaches us to Pray to the Father in Jesus name. . .If you want results. . .
