I like that last move. Have you tried going straight to the shoulder? With the right timing it is quote disruptive to the balance. Bang back and downward a little, like dropping your weight into them…
Great video. Who was that quote from about head high kicks making as much sense as punching them in the shin? It sounded like you said Nicky Uzi but I'm pretty sure that isn't right.

Question about kicking. Is it better for realistic purposes to practice low kicks exclusively? Aside from sport martial arts, I do not see any need for kicking above the waist. The examples I draw my conclusion from are kyokushin, Muay Thai and Dogg Brothers Martial Arts. Those three disciplines primarily use low kicks. Your thoughts are appreciated.

If we kick at all in self-defence, then it’s better to keep them low. However, you asked if it was better to “practise low kicks exclusively” as opposed to use then exclusively. My take on things is that is also beneficial to practise higher kicks in training (assuming it’s appropriate physically for the specific individual). Doing so will develop the attributes that will make for better low kicks (all the people I know who could cut your thigh in half with their low kicks have no problem kicking higher) and ensure a wider skill set such that the martial artists can function in both non-consensual violence (self-defence) and consensual violence (fighting). When scenario training, kicking for the self-defence stuff should be kept low. However, we can have some fun with the mid and head height ones for consensual violence drills. As above, it a person is unable to kick higher, in a way that can’t be helped with mobility and flexibility training, then they can still be a fine and effective martial artists. However, in my view, if higher kicking can be part of what we do, then we can practise that too for the attribute development, fun and use in consensual violence.

I have seen video of an MMA fighter using the 'swing through' to parry successive punches. So you can take this one to the bank.
