I have told so many people about this pod cast interview. It has changed something in me. My 12 year-old daughter was kidnapped, raped and murdered in 1999. I have never considered true forgiveness to the man who brutally murdered her only my definition of it. This has made me reconsider EVERYTHING. I have cried a lot of tears watching and listening to this.

As someone with a 12 yo daughter I can understand your dilemma. I truly don't know if I'd be able to forgive that. Would this man forgive someone that killed his child? Forgiving your own personal abuse is something different entirely, so don't feel bad if it's too hard to forgive. But also look at it as you're releasing yourself from the pain. I am truly, truly sorry. ❤

@@Kallogee- I had some terrible experiences as a child, but it doesn't compare to this man's torture. His story brought tears to my eyes several times. Christ set me free a couple decades ago, and I'm never surprised how he brings a person out of the darkness when that person invites Him into their life. It's refreshing, redeeming, and rewarding to me when I see it, but no longer does it surprise me. May The Lord bless you, as well and make you whole. He who has ear let him hear. *Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.* - Rev. 3:20

Thank you Shawn and Victor. It really touched me about the elderly lady that prayed for you for 30 yrs. It made me cry. Jesus first saved my life as an infant; my birth father was beating my mother to death and my grandma woke up and started praying for us. My dad stopped and left the room giving my mom time to grab me and run into the night and get help. She did leave him then, but married many other times to horrible men that physically and sexually abused me and my half brother. My whole adult life I was unable to love and accept love, but about 10 yrs ago I came back to Jesus and am healed, praise God! Just recently, my brother has also came to Christ. God is good, never give up!

I love Victors story about where was God? When I was 5 I was at a family reunion surrounded by 50+ cousins at a park playground. Back in the 80s things were very different and you didn’t keep an eye on your kids like we do now. I had a very scary older man, a homeless man come up to me and specifically ask me for help. Just like you said, they can just tell when a child has been abused and pray on those children. He took me by the hand and led me away from the playground into the wooded area. He then sexually assaulted me, I wasn’t scared as I was used to this but then I heard a voice. I had a cousin who came to look for me. This is when I got scared, he started to freak out and told me to leave, I couldn’t understand what I had done to make him so mad at me. So I went back to a trail where my 18 year old cousin found me. No one questioned where I was or even knew I had been missing. My cousin never told anyone because she thought I was just wandering. For 30 years I wondered where was God? How could God just let this awful thing happen to me when I was already facing so much abuse from my own dad. Did he not love me? Where was my protection? My cousin messaged me one day out of the blue 30 years later and told me “I remember, it was me, I found you!” I asked her that day, “why did you come looking for me when no one else knew I was even gone?” She told me that a voice told her that day to “go find Anna Now!” She listened. For 30 years I thought God had abandoned me when in fact he had saved my life…. I had been gone for at last 45min. God is always with us, especially his children. I cried through much of Victors testimony. What a powerful podcast, what a powerful man. I thank my Lord Jesus Christ for seeing me, little old me. I am his. He loves us so much.

This gave me chills, I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I had a similar experience early this year where my husband hung himself and something told me to go look in the garage. I saved his life, but I have horrible ptsd now and at first questioned why am I being put through this. But your explanation of God used me to save my husband truly gave me goosebumps. I've become very spiritual/ religious in the past year or so and this just pushed me more in the loving/spiritual side and now I look at that moment as a wake up call. Thank you for your post, there is true demonic energy in this world and us light workers have to continue to help those in need and listen for the signs ❤

@@KeLLaBee09 my heart aches for you and your husband, he’s so blessed to have you in his life💗 You are so very right, we are light workers and perhaps you needed that trial to know that you can not just hear but also so you know that you can obey his voice. I often times think about my 18 year old cousin who didn’t even know me. Why did she listen? God knew she would listen and obey and he knew you would too, but now you know you would and do. We think we are so insignificant, Satan would have us believe that but we are everything to our Father, our Master. He’s so proud of you💗 Thank you for your message to me, sometimes I think I shouldn’t post this kind of stuff because it’s so sacred to me but if it could help but one person then it’s worth it. I sobbed uncontrollably for the next 10 minutes. I've had out of body experiences where I was at the gates of hell and my Lord and Savior was there with me!! When I put a gun in my mouth and wanted to eat a bullet for breakfast Jesus was with me. And when I had done harm to others I was really doing harm to my savior. Of all the times we've questioned _God where were you,_ He was right there with us, enduring alongside us. The glory is His, not ours. Hallelujah!! Thank you my God, my Savior, and my Father forever!!!!!

Shawn, this is another hard hitting and profound episode that’s practically moved me to tears. If you’re interested in spiritual warfare and the very real side of evil, I would humbly put forth Fr. Chad Ripperger or Fr. Carlos Martins as suggestions for guests, both experienced exorcists in the Catholic Church. Over many interviews I’ve heard them talk about the demonic, but also all the other aspects of the spiritual realm including guardian angels, and also about the power of forgiveness. I think with your insight and skill with interviewing, and their experiences, it would make for an extremely compelling show.

What was inflicted on Victor was evil, it was incomprehensible, and it is just horrific to even think about. Impossible to even comprehend. The fact that he has felt the lord so strongly in his life makes sense to me. He would have had to have had Jesus carrying him through that part of his life. What an amazing testimony for Christ Victor is!! He has the life experience that doesn't come from being brought up in church and that is what makes him instantly relatable . He reminds me very much of a friend of mine who has long since passed, but who was a trained martial artist who mentored me as a young man and new Christian. My favorite part of this episode was hearing about how he busted his partner's chin with nunchucks, and instantly got everyone's attention in the youth prison. It reminds me of a time that my mentor actually hit me while giving a demonstration while I was his test subject, then jokingly commented about the love of Jesus and the power of his forgiveness. My second favorite part of this episode was when Victor actually beat the guy who hit his 2 year old daughter - gave him the besting he asked for. That is a man that I can respect, and take seriously.

Shawn, We have been following you, watching you transform, grow. I have had some concerns regarding your newfound spirituality, your guidance. This past Halloween we vacationed in our regular cabin in the woods. I had hoped to run into you so that I could share 3-4 minutes I felt could help. I watched you pull your side by side right up across the road from where I had just parked our car, we were shopping in the village. You stared me in the eyes as you were unloading your beautiful child, wife and what appeared to be grandparents. There was no way I was going to interrupt a man's time with his family, to share what I thought you needed to hear. Since we came back from our week in the Fork, I have watched you interview the most Godly men. You are surrounding yourself, interviewing exactly the men whom you need be hearing from. WOW, can't wait for tomorrow #3! As a child I thought abuse in your family was normal as well as the thought of suicide.... because of Christ I've been able to forgive my abusers, including my own father. Because of Christ I am free of my own chains and able to sleep peacefully. Thank you Shawn. It is so encouraging to see God using you. A light in the darkness.

Most of the time child abuse is known by many adults WHILE IT IS HAPPENING. The best thing we can do for future generations is to END THE CYCLE NOW. “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life” (Proverbs 4:23)

I want this gentleman to know this: When you said what you did about having false hope rather than asking the hard questions, I felt that in my soul. I've been doing it my whole life. This was literally like a breakthrough therapy session for me. Trauma does the worst things to children and you have no idea where to put the blame or feelings attached to it. I know in my heart that Jesus is the only place, but I literally don't feel like I know how. That sounds so bad bc I've always been a believer but for some reason, I'm scared. It's almost like I feel like I'm being too vulnerable and that is something I really struggle with.😢 Thank you so much for putting yourself out there, it is truly a blessing! Shawn, thank you for being you!

This has been my favorite guest to date! Thank you Shawn for having this man on. His testimony moved my soul in ways I never could have expected. I shared this with my father who grew up in an abusive house hold. My dad never really listens to the thing I shared but he listened to this one. The conversation we had after was something I’ve needed from him my whole life. Thank you Shawn and thank you Victor

There's the quote by Jordan Peterson "A harmless man is not a good man. A good man is a very dangerous man who has that under voluntary control" With what he has been through, with his talents and with his calm demeanour, Victor Marx is the personification of that quote

Oh man, stepparent resentment is fucked up. Lions and primates are hardwired to resent offspring that aren't theirs. Humans have a choice when they feel like fighting the parent because they hate the kid. How we handle this is important because it's a repeating pattern. Fuck up the stepdad, he's stuck on stupid. But if you're ever a stepparent, please don't let them feel any resentment. It's in the DNA since Joseph and Jesus probably longer. Make sure that kids remember your choice when they are stepparent and themselves feel resentment.❤
