Madd Ronald remembers when the lowriders would cruise Adams Blvd. There was also a relationship between the Rollin 20 Bloods and the Mexican-American gangs, Al Capone, Harpys, 18th Street and Drifters in the area between Western Avenue (west) and Hoover Avenue (east).
UPDATE: The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) indicted Ronald Elwood Chatman, 53 of Los Angeles and 45 other people, mostly from the Atlanta area, in a 92-count indictment entitled Operation Caged Doves. The indictment alleges activities ranging from selling marijuana, to credit card fraud to 4 murders, of which Ronald had nothing to do with. Ronald is a working man, everyday, does is own carpet cleaning in the day, deliver Uber eats in the night, has been employed by the City of Los Angeles, GRYD program, and has absolutely nothing to do with the activities written in this indictment. As it relates to Madd Ronald its all fairytales. He was taken into custody in October 27 by the LAPD, and is currently sitting in the Los Angeles County jail awaiting extradition to Georgia. Here is the Facebook page for the GBI bragging about their indictment: / permalink.phpid=240044...
The GBI and all the other law enforcement agencies did a press conference regarding this indictment that looked more like a Dog & Pony show including an applause designed to convict these black men in the court of public opinion. It's laughable that they are calling a neighborhood gang "Organized Crime" putting these men, as young as 19 in the same category as the Gambino or Genevese Crime family. We cannot ignore the role that race plays here, because what us people of color interpret as regular talk, a room full of White government bureaucrats will characterized as criminal. Go watch their announcement: • Press Conference: Oper...

There will never be another black gang like the Rollin 20s Bloods who had so much heart and honor. I grew up with Harpys, Dead End, The Wild Bunch in that area. As a graffiti writer from the mid 1980s. I can tell you interacting with them was a pleasure. Their code of conduct with second to none. I can see why they got along well with Raza. Very similar in the Warrior mentality.

When he talked about the cars blocking Adams, that was actually a "Cinco De Mayo" parade that would start on Vermont just north of Adams. Go south on Vermont, east on 24th, south on Hoover, west on Adams and end at Rogers Baptist church on Menlo & Adams. I might be wrong, but think it started at was user to be a "Thrif-T-Mart" market where the Ralph's is now at.

Berendo middle school, my school in the 90's. Left after I got shot at 11 years old and barely made it with a California zipper to remind me to this day. Still kept banging and actually life got worse while I was wrapped up in all that gang banging sh*t. Did my dirt, had many more close calls, li'l bro doing life, homeboys doing life, cousin and some homies just getting out after long stints and many did not make it. I'm not where I want to be, but glad I'm not where I was as a 34 year old now. Life is beautiful, just get out and go out searching.

I dont think so. They have always co-existed. Madd Ronald talks about how the R20s and HPS were actually cool and would hang together in the 80s. HPS and DE even wore red. I did read that there was a brief conflict in 1999 between them which is detailed in this book called "Home of the Body Bags". Supposedly the beef was squashed quickly. I lived on 24th and Vermont which was heavy HPS hood and remember coming home with my parents back sometime in 1999 and the HPS members were outside my apartment and the Bloods were throwing up signs and walking away. So i think that brief conflict that book was talking about was during that time.
