There will never be another black gang like the Rollin 20s Bloods who had so much heart and honor. I grew up with Harpys, Dead End, The Wild Bunch in that area. @kidcivic20024 жыл бұрын
I dont think so. They have always co-existed. Madd Ronald talks about how the R20s and HPS were actually cool and would hang together in the 80s. HPS and DE even wore red. I did read that there was a brief conflict in 1999 between them which is detailed in this book called "Home of the Body Bags". Supposedly the beef was squashed quickly. I lived on 24th and Vermont which was heavy HPS hood and remember coming home with my parents back sometime in 1999 and the HPS members were outside my apartment and the Bloods were throwing up signs and walking away. So i think that brief conflict that book was talking about was during that time.

The tension here in Houston between us blacks and Mexicans were different in the 90s. Now it is all about money. We work together a lot now. I blame the media for most of our beefs

The Drifters faded away for a while but now I see them striking up the wall alot in the area now. I ran into another older guy from Drifters on 22nd a while ago and he named alot of 20s he hung out with. 20s were always deep on 23rd which is where the Drifters in that area started and they always been cool.
