I dunno. My instincts say he _should have_ more impact on this team than the Ravens. But wasn't Berrios filling this role early in '23 before they simply Stopped Using Him? Mike McD seems to have become fixated on a limited play-set. & it seems like he feels uncomfortable going beyond it. I think it's the reason his Dolphins regress every game individually as he abandons the run & every season when he tries to force the ball to one of two receivers only. Even if one of them is injured he can't seem to call plays designed for anyone else. There's something off about the play-calling.

It's not about players playing up to anyone expectations, they play hard all the time, it's about how many of the great stars are on the field, the last two years, the Dolphins were the most injured team that still made the playoffs, but without your key players, the team can't compete like they should. If they get to be just average in losing players to injury this year, they will be hard to best.

No, the Dolphins most need a good tight end. They can move up and down the field offensively, but they stall in the red zone. Speed doesn't help you as much in the red zone where there is less space and getting that four or five yards on third down is crucial.
