@John2000sBaby2 жыл бұрын
i think hes saying like the money they make is fantasy land so stop trying to compare real life numbers to baseball numbers, when you do you think 340M and 360M is “nothing” of a difference bc its just such a huge sum of money that lost ppl will never make, the average person says that bc they think that money can’t possibly ever run out but these guys spend like crazy ofc it matters to them

looking at this recent deal, we got a bargain for judge. Yes its 9 years.. who cares? He will still add value into his late 30s permitting he's healthy. He homegrown, can handle the NY pressure and will likely be the next captain. NYY needed that guy and someone to fill the gaping hole Jeter left after retirement. Next steps, get some good pitching to fill the spot for Jameson, add some bullpen depth which already started off great with bringing back Khalne, and we have enough infielders on the roster and in the minors to field a football team. On my final thoughts, send Hicks and Donaldson to the moon and flip them for a 2003 Honda Civic so we can get some quality outfeilders to the Bronx expeditiously.

@madfighter562 жыл бұрын
@@rickshelton1955 you seem like the negative Nancy of KZbin so let me educate you on why you’re entirely wrong. The New York Yankees are within the top two most profitable sports franchises in American sports. They are worth literally billions of dollars and rake in absolutely mind boggling amounts of money. A large part of that being judge who is the highest seller of sports jerseys in baseball. Furthermore, even when he’s playing in other stadiums OPPOSING teams see a large spike in attendance. He’s a cash cow for baseball, and one of the best offensive and defensive players in the modern history. Baseball players are investments and yes they are depreciating assets but when you consider their net value to the organization and the cost of inflation over the next 9 years you will find it was a reasonable deal. But of course, your knowledge of business and sports combined with Mountain Dew and a perfect grip on your favorite dominos pizza knows it’s all falling apart.

That’s what a negotiation is. Yankees offered $320, Padres offered $400, they negotiated and met in the middle at 360M, what exactly is the problem? @g311music2 жыл бұрын
Aaron Judge has only one contract negotiation you want him to settle for money that in 10 years is going to look like chump change? The only reason most people even go to Yankee Stadium is to see Judge hit homeruns, he knows his worth and should be compensated for it, you’re probably one of those people who think WNBA players should be paid like NBA players huh?
@CloseYourBrownEyes2 жыл бұрын
@@g311music WTF?! Judge deserves every penny of that contract and people were willing to tell him to walk for playing a little hardball first. *Reading comprehension* goes a long way. We're on the same page, Chief.

It was always the Yankees. Yes, he wanted to get more money/years out of them, but he showed his loyalty by even giving them the opportunity to bring their offer up to meet the Giants'. He is a superstar athlete getting paid for the only contract he'll get the rest of his career. He should get every single penny he can, and it doesn't make him any less loyal.
@g311music2 жыл бұрын
@@CloseYourBrownEyesmaybe I’m reading your message wrong but saying Cashman had to buy back his loyalty makes it sound like Judge wasn’t being loyal to the Yankees and he only signed for the upgraded offer, anyways my mistake if that’s not what you meant glad you’re onboard with the deal no way Yankees could afford to lose him.

For some of us,Theresa huge difference. Judge is OUR guy. We drafted him, we developed him, we were watching him from his first AB homer til present. A-Rod, while I was very excited to get him in 04, was a transfer. We didn't have the attachment we have to our homegrown players. That's what made the dynasty so special. That it was so organically built. If towards the end of the contract, he is playing like modern day Stanton or worse, I will be fine with it. Consider it a gold watch and a thanks for the memories.

@snerdterguson10 ай бұрын
Judge had a better year than Altuve and topped him in basically every statistical category outside of batting average and steals. That's without even taking the cheating into consideration, because even if Altuve didn't allow the cheating for his ABs (unlikely), he benefited from runners on base who did and was on base for hitters who did, and was almost certainly told to steal a base based on their knowing a breaking ball was coming. But again, even if all his numbers were legit, they weren't as good as Judges were.
