@@philfrank9226 That's because Rudolf did the ripping off and hiding the credits on the re-releases. He's not angry, if anything he might feel guilty, so he says little, only quick niceties and gets the conversation to a different topic.

@@cumuluscloud3854 and despite that he never worried about money? I like his playing much as anyone else but he likes to leave out the parts of his life that aren't positive. Hands down the most genuinly honest and insanely talented guitarist. Love his German accent, still being able to get his message across. Did not know how he thought about his brother Rudolf. Sad, but lucky him that he made its own way. Great guy who I'd love to meet and chat about everything guitars in rock music.

Me too, I was looking for something exciting in a record shop and saw this guy on the back with long hair and a white V so listened to the first song Let It Roll and that was it, the whole album is incredible, and Michael created a guitar sound like no other to this day. Interesting later to learn about his half-cocked wah pedal and 50W Marshall preference, just unique!

I love the "dreamy" section at the end of This Kid's, a mellotron I think providing the lush chords and that beautiful harmonised lead guitar melody, sounds like all of Michael's European heritage through his wonderful playing.

I remember when I first heard Michael playing in The Scorpions... and the material that he explored in live sessions at the time... it struck me even then, as a young teenager, that he was quite literally paving his own path. I always thought how good he was... naturally talented... gifted; and yet in most conversations that I had with friends or colleagues about great guitar players, I invariably found myself alone in bringing Michael Schenker into the discussions. IMO, he deserves to be mentioned amongst my personal all-time favourite guitar players (in no particular order): Eddie Van Halen Randy Rhoads Gary Moore Roy Clark Angus Young

I have been a fan of Michael since 1979. I play guitar and he blew me away with his style. Bluesy yet heavy and cool. Nobody back then was doing anything like it. I still love his style and I also love the work he did on SCORPIONS LOVE DRIVE ALBUM. That album was the best SCORPIONS album to date!! The guitar tones are massive and cut like a knife through the mix. The Marshall plexi is the best amp for soloing. PERIOD!!! It is so sharp cutting and the notes bite hard and clear. You don`t hear that sound much anymore. That is a shame!!!
