Still, something has to be done about the seeding. A team like Oregon must get a benefit in the seeding from being the only undefeated team. It's a glaring flaw.

The fact that casual fans are more engaged with this year’s football playoff format isn’t a great argument for a very very very wonky seeding and bracket - at least not for the fans who want the regular season to matter appropriately.

The players have wanted to be treated like adults. Quitting on your team whenever you may wish, and requiring no real commitment level, except in name only, is not adult behavior. This must change or the sport will suffer dramatically.
