Yea i can see why theres alot of hate towards western powers because of imperialism. She kind of made it sound like the ottoman empire was pretty good by comparison, as far as a society made up of diverse groups and beliefs living together. Theres no question the west rose to power through imperialism. However US & Europe are aome of the most sought out places to live now. Its built on blood, but whether or not it was worth it? Idk what the world would look like under ottoman, arab or islamic power. I know thia one though, and i can live with it.
