You know, for an 80s-esque song like this one "Explorers" is such a fitting title. Think about it; it reminds you of the 80s, a time that can basically be considered our new Age of Exploration. Not just because kids were going outside and exploring their surroundings but because everything that we have now was an unknown frontier back in the 80s. The Internet, cellphones, video games, hell, even the Sci-Fi flicks that we know and love now. Everything was new and fresh in the 80s that it almost felt like you were always exploring and finding something new. I'd like to experience it myself but I guess I'll have to make do with songs that make me nostalgic for a time period that I never got to experience. :)

I think we miss these times not only because of nostalgia, but because they were not so fast, so rushed, so crowded, so complicated. Yes, life can be a bitch and we all have problems, but now it’s like you live your life like an ant and people are in a hurry all the time. Information comes at the speed of light, stress comes with the sound of a BLING on your cellphone and everybody is looking for digital entertainment, rather than interacting with someone. We kept imagining the future in the 80’s and 90’s. Well, guess what? The future is here and it looks grim as shit.

I don't care how old I am now or how old in the future I reach. Part of me will always be a kid stuck in the 80s. No place I would rather be and would do anything to go back to that place again. This song/video is amazing but I felt both ecstatic/depressed at the same time. Youth really is wasted on the young. Any kids/teenagers reading this savour every second of your youth whilst you can. I’ve decided the reason millennial nostalgia hits so hard is because we were the last generation to come of age without the internet… we all had powerful shared experiences in terms of pop culture, cutting edge technology… without actually being networked together so we could each discover things on our own… and here we are 30 years later all looking back on the same collective childhood.

Close enough. People loved the 80s so much that they were still heavily recycling the 80s culture & media throughout the 90s. In that way, the 80s never really ended

The most incredible thing about the 80s (at least for those who had the privilege of being born on the right side of the wall) is that even if today they seem to have been just a wonderful dream, they existed for real.

Absolutely wonderful editing, your cuts are right on beat, and the scenes fit perfectly be they used lyrically or thematically. Thank you for the excellent work and effort behind this - we're all looking forward to more.

The attachment to the 80's is one of the coolest things you get out of surfing music through KZbin. I came into the 80's as a 17 year old...to wrap up your high school years early in the decade only to then flow into some absurdly crazy and fun college days while the decade was in full swing was most fortunate. The Midnight captures the vibe of the time so well that anytime it is combined with 80's based content it just works!!

What. a. FANTASTIC. Video. I got goosebumps, ultra-nostalgia, and just good feelings from all of this. You really did justice to this song. It was cool to see the all referenced commercials from Saturday Mornings (Interlude)" all in original video format. Dude. Thank you so much. Thank you.

Being born in 76..this couldn’t remind me any more of being a kid if I tried. Great times, and an amazing band!! And if I was given the chance to go back and do it all again, would I? Damn right I would :-)

Hi I am now approaching 70 so seen many decades ,the 60,s started it all and as a Brit as a kid embraced it ,the 70,s better still but honestly the 80,s were something else , a portal to our future with innocence ,an enjoyment of new music and technology ! Lived in the US then and totally loved it ,going to the mall and sitting in the arcade , no phones ,no apps and constant social media ! We had the best of all worlds ,the music was great , fashion simple and not expensive to most of us and I felt totally free and life was amazing ! Alas the future is even worse than we thought back then , we thought it would be fun but hell as a kid now alas it is like going back to 1935 , EVIL is on the rise again ,that,s not in the spirit of the 80,s ,maybe that sensation will arise again !

Write your memories and feelings down! Leave them for your next generation. The good times must never be forgotten in the hope that the newer generations can find their own 80s.

I wasn't born in the 80's nor before, nor did I live in the United States to know what was the best decade of its history... Even though "The Midnight" and several series that come out in this video are not from the 80s it's amazing how this touches my soul, I have too much nostalgia for a time that didn't live...

Guess I was spoiled being born in 87. Watching this I never realized how much cool, creative stuff was produced in the media compared to the regurgitated trash we have masquerading as entertainment now. My parents were lucky to have been teens in the 80's.

Beautiful. Thank you for this. I feel like the 80's were a high point of optimism. Just seemed happier. Now it's all bleak bleak and more bleak. No color, no risk, no thrills.

EVERYTHING DIFFERENT cause them has changed control EVERYTHING "enterprise" now we're to late cause we have so much bad things happening such corrupted media corrupted politics and a war that is pointless inside job activities there just so much behind the all the lies. Back then everything was happy and uplifting and magical and fun and fresh now days everything is opposite dark and fake and heavy and more WISH WE CAN GO BACK
