Source = The anime movie Wicked City (1987) aka Yuujou Toshi which itself is an adaption of the 1985 novel Wicked City Kikuchi, Hideyuki (Story), Kojima, Ayami (Art). As classic as 80's anime and fiction can get.

I love how they play metaphorically with the title of the song and the true meaning of it, basically the human himself is like a vampire stripped of his immortality, who refuses to accept the harsh reality of things, we are only here for a short period of time and most of the time we waste it giving importance to our own existential crises instead of enjoying it to the fullest together with the beings who really love us, before it is too late and they leave or we leave before that they, forever. The lyrics are simply beautiful and cleverly brutal.

That's some pretty deep insight there. Might not have come to that conclusion myself if I didn't see it here. Good job.
@BendingGrid
@BendingGrid 9 ай бұрын
I would say the song meditates on the fleeting nature of human interactions, the moments of connection amidst isolation, and the existential journey from birth to death. The narrative emphasizes both the transitory moments of beauty and connection and the overarching solitude and impermanence of existence.

NO I don't...Lets keep this at least basic...Christ existed and is an historical figure..So it's only a matter if you accept him as your savior or not...Heaven is a free gift from Almighty God...There is nothing we can do to earn and deserve heaven, cuz it's ETERNAL happiness, for free..If I'm wrong, you have nothing to worry about, but if I'm right, you WILL NOT go to heaven and WILL go to hell...Christ himself went to hell and said to them, do you accept me as your savior ?? I love this song. So modern yet old school sounding. Music like this is what I think dance clubs should play. Also, this would make a great AMV for an AMV contest... Enter it into AX.. XD

Legendary song. Legendary band. My ex introduced me to the Midnight in 2016 and it was the best thing to come out of that relationship. Seven years later I met Tyler and the band after their concert in Oslo, took pictures with them and got my Nocturnal vinyl signed. Not just an amazing band but such wonderful people too. I will never forget that night in Oslo and I can't wait to see the Midnight again! ❤️

I've gotta say, I'm very sad that I am just now hearing this song in 2019. It's amazing though, and the saxophone, it just makes it all blend together to this perfection of 80's sounding music in this day and age. I say well done and I will always be looking forward to more.

When I found The Midnight, my whole music choice changed. When I found that song. I first time could say that I have a favorite song. Apsolute master piece. That saxophone talks more than any instrument I have ever heard. Those emotions... wow. Time and time over again I come back to that song. This song alone have given me more inspiration than anything else. Thank you! and with Love to all of you!

I went through the same thing, then add to it- brain surgery! I played this song Every. Single. Day. This song was confort, eased my anxiety, kept me company and somehow gave me hope. It’s been 18 months since that hell tempest time and I still listen to it every few days… This song is the hub of synth wave that brought me through the darkest of times and has accompanied me to a better future. So hold on to the good feelings that come from this and look up for more. It will come… P.S. The comments are inspiring also
