I certainly like the second black and white film, Children of the Damned which came out in 1963 the year when the classic Dr Who era started with William Hartnell in black and white on BBC1. I noticed the actor playing Major Bernard Westcott is Charles Kay who is awesome in everything he has been in and also William Gaunt who plays Richard Gayford.

The film Village of the Damned ad a sequel, 3 years later called Children of the Damned which is based on a book of the same title by A.V. Sellwood and the film COTD is awesome in the way of having children with alien powers and in COTD like in VOTD we never learn what they are really or where they even originate from.

I am sure one of the girls in the group of children is Alice, and another is Angela the boy Eric IMO is possibly the group leader.

I reckon The Kraken Wakes is best. Midwich Cuckoos is very good ... I like this adaptation

The Children said it themselves. The law only works after the crime had been committed. The Children took action against the people of the village (by making the people fight each other) to stop them from committing the crime of attacking the Children. That is, the Children made a pre-emptive strike and showed no remorse. So, in our "civilised" world, the Children actually did do something wrong. The Children also made warnings and threats not to attack or stop the Children. This implied the Children were there for something more sinister. So, the only thing that could be done was a pre-emptive strike before the Children could do anything further. The only thing that couldn't really be conveyed in audio was how Zellaby hid his intention from the Children. I haven't read the novel, but have seen Village of the Damned and can only assume the Zellaby hid his intent as depicted in Village of the Damned.

They killed the car driver, Jimmy Powell, after he accidentally knocked down one of the children. I'd call that wrong.
