For the very short time this MiG-21 existed, it gave me a couple of pointers towards building my own. 1) Reevaluate having kids. 2) Use Gx2 as a base. 3) Weather the dielectric panels instead of the metallic coat. A short life, but well spent...

Wow. Torqued motion no doubt. that was a beautiful mig. You did a fantastic job on that build.

Looks (Looked?) great! I've been trying to get my hand on some Eduard kits but by the time you factor in shipping and duty they are so expensive here in Canada. I think I might have to pull the trigger on one of these migs!
@TheModelGuy3 жыл бұрын
It's a little sad that it's cheaper to order the kits from Europe then in Canada. Shipping inside of Canada is about $30.
@RobPearlman3 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I was thinking of just ordering a bunch of stuff from their site just to make the shipping worth while even though id end up spending more in the long run!

Yeah in the big picture it's not worth it. I still remember my dad busting the wings off my favorite toy plane when I was five because I kicked his stereo door.

@@TheModelGuy keep in mind, I'm still a teenager, but I remember when I was like 4, I was playing with some toy cars, and my dad threw them all away. I had like 50 hot wheels, and they were gone in an instant. Fun times.

Ah that explains what that wailing and gnashing of teeth was, I'm impressed heard it all way here in New Zealand. Kids can't live with them can't sell them for medical experiments. I can't wait to see what you do with the P-38 I'd love to build it but here its north of $100 NZD. At least you have some additions to spares box.

Why would I take the blame? My parenting style is the kids are responsible for their own actions. I've been leaving my model stuff out since she was two. She has two older brothers as well who she's seen model behavior of leaving certain things alone. She was having a tantrum, this was her outlet being mad at me. I doubt it will happen again.
