WELL LOOK HERE MON. I JUST FOUND THIS TODAY AND IT IS A PERFECT BOOKEND TO MY POST YESTERDAY OF THIS SONG AS A TRIBUTE TO MARCUS GARVEY ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF HIS BIRTH IN 1887. If, like me, you have listened to the Mighty Diamonds debut album countless times over the years, you know by heart Them Never Love Poor Marcus. So this demo will be a real treat, longer and different from the album version. The album, simply called The Right Time due to it being the opening song on the LP, is a very important in the history of Jamaican music. It ushered in the "rockers" style, a more militant, aggressive, syncopated music than the reggae played before. The backing by the Channel One house band, The Revolutionaries. led by Robbie Shakespeare on bass and Sly Dunbar on drums is magnificent---absolute perfection in reggae.
