The Mighty Mi-8 HIP | DCS World Cinematic Short Film

A Mi-8 helicopter flying over a war torn village defies death and takes adequate measures.
I've been flying the Mi-8 HIP in DCS on and off for about 5 months now and I love this magnificent beast. She's heavy and bulky, but she's raw power and gets the job done. It was only earlier this week that I started experimenting with its counter measures because I kept getting nailed by MANPADs online. It looks like they work pretty well and very consistent. You just got to stay on the lookout and hit that button as soon as you can :)

I record it with the AVI recorder, which allows you to record everything at its highest settings without skipping frames. It practically renders out your video. You do need some patience this way though 😊

Really nice shots, well done! I started DCS with a "fixed-wing-only" attitude and that everything without burner is a s**t. Then I tried the Hip (also inspired by Terminus) and now.... she has become my DCS favorite. Cheers!
