@@jeffbellin8224 Why is he not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ? (not that the HOF is a true measure of talent or success). Jagger and Richards have played on some of his solo stuff and J. Geils back up the Stones early in their career. Musicians and People who still follow rock music understand how good he is, but the common person in the street has no idea. Petty backed up J.Geils early in his career and returned the favor for some shows on his final tour. I'll give credit to the Stones for talent and still being active at this stage in their lives, but they got a huge PR machine.

I was about 15 years old and I was with a big crowd of friends from my small town where I grew up. It was about 20 ppl and when the lights went out we all ran down to the front row, we were like gang that now one messed with. Then saw them probably another 10 times or so. On one of there biggest tours for the Freeze Frame album I got to see them again front row at Madison Square Garden this time me and some friends bought 3rd row seats but ended up with our arms on the stage.
