Too long ago I had a business trip the Reading, England. Our group was walking to supper and we passed a hardware store window with a set of King Dick Whitworth spanners. Expensive, but I had to have them.

Thanks Mike for the Reply concerning your Manx helmet

My pleasure, Nicholas. Yes, it’s a really cool piece. It only just fits on my massive head, otherwise I might be tempted to wear it. But also common sense prevailed as it is very old and poorly constructed, just like they were back in the day!

I’m envious of your tool collection and you’ve given me a few ideas on storage. Great idea to give little teasers on future videos, keeping us all hooked and on the edge of our seats, hehe.

I am enjoying the insight into your Christmas build up, it was interesting to see someone else's work shop, I was very pleased to see I am not the only person with 3 clutch spring compressors, I seem to get one with every Commando I purchase.

Ha ha, so true John. Yes, I don’t even know where I got them all from. For some reason, I just love collecting these old tools! Best wishes, Mike

The tennis balls 🎾 made me laugh out loud. Sacrilege to deface a BMW exhaust clamp tool, however, I’m sure it will still work when you eventually see the light and add a Toaster airhead to your collection 🤣😂. You say you don’t use your metric spanner’s but surely your Thruxton is all metric, unless it needs no maintenance whatsoever! 🇬🇧
@TheMightyGarageАй бұрын
Haha, thanks Stewy. Yes, you are absolutely right. I have never worked on the Thruxton. I think the only thing I have touched myself was to add a new battery and a center stand! Hope all is well. Yes, I do like the old Toasters!! Best wishes, Mike

Another great video Tony! Question: your thoughts on a 1959 Norton ES2. Are they a decent rider? I have a chance to pick one up fairly reasonable. Thanks again!!!
@TheMightyGarageАй бұрын
Hi, I haven’t ridden that generation of ES2 models, but I would imagine that it is a really nice comfortable and enjoyable bike to ride. They are a really attractive bike and very understated. Good luck! Cheers, Mike

Great Video. Where did you get the Boddingtons ? Can’t find it anywhere, except the 9 fine Irishmen pub in Vegas
@TheMightyGarage25 күн бұрын
I also thought they had gone out of business but you can get Boddies at a special beer supermarket not too far from home!
