Too long ago I had a business trip the Reading, England. Our group was walking to supper and we passed a hardware store window with a set of King Dick Whitworth spanners. Expensive, but I had to have them.

My pleasure, Nicholas. Yes, it’s a really cool piece. It only just fits on my massive head, otherwise I might be tempted to wear it. But also common sense prevailed as it is very old and poorly constructed, just like they were back in the day!

I am enjoying the insight into your Christmas build up, it was interesting to see someone else's work shop, I was very pleased to see I am not the only person with 3 clutch spring compressors, I seem to get one with every Commando I purchase.

Sacrilege to deface a BMW exhaust clamp tool, however, I’m sure it will still work when you eventually see the light and add a Toaster airhead to your collection 🤣😂. You say you don’t use your metric spanner’s but surely your Thruxton is all metric, unless it needs no maintenance whatsoever! 🇬🇧

Hi, I haven’t ridden that generation of ES2 models, but I would imagine that it is a really nice comfortable and enjoyable bike to ride. They are a really attractive bike and very understated. Good luck! Cheers, Mike

I also thought they had gone out of business but you can get Boddies at a special beer supermarket not too far from home!
