This interview was so much better than the Tim Brown interview. Thank you Joy Reid. You allowed the beauty and depth of Viola to be seen. It allowed us to get more insight into her thoughts, feelings, passions and pain and that is what "we" women of color, people of color and women want to see

"Why is your pennis in a dead girl phone" is one of my all time favorite lines on television EVER! Viola is a great artist and an amazing human being. Humble, fierce, confident, vulnerable and so damn inteligent. Such a great inspiration. "The dehumanization of us was the reason we were so easily hated. So, the thing right now is humanize"! ❤️

Agree. That was just about her poverty and not about everything else since that, especially giving herself education, that is to much of a success story! Why seeing representation is important. Peace.

Loved this, so much. What she said rang true and it is wonderful to see her enjoying her success while still fulfilling what she wants to do. Mother, actress, producer, has her own company with her husband, I'm so happy for her continued success! And I found it so humble that the one moment she chose was doing a play with her sister.

What is the percentage of famous people in the world? .0086%… we don’t live in a fight, flight or freeze society… the conversations -- I mean really intense, meaningful, why do I do the things I do(you do)?…talking to mature adults, -- just plain ole’ fashion ordinary folk-- it’s not about your notoriety, money, power or sex-- I just wanna talk and connect to you…that’s a lost talent… As for Sexual Assaults, I’m not belittling the horribleness of the act however ordinary people have risen above “The Day they Dead” and become prominent, productive, passionate citizens… It’s about making peace, and empowering yourself… People who are displaced, disabled and dehumanized-- keep banging on the table because we all have a voice… Two of my favorite speakers in the world-- because they kept banging on the table for the next generation… “Thank You” for exceptional conversation….
