And after the draft the Knicks still have six first round picks. Let's say Mikal Bridges is the third option, who with any of those 5 first round pics were going to fill that role? Derek most of those picks will be trash picks because they'll be late 1st round selections. Also, the Knicks have a real front office who have made great moves in order to get Bridges. Plus Bridges & Bogy salaries matched so the Knicks didn't lose any cap space which means they can still sign OG. Keep trying to down play this move but it was smart for the Knicks because their front office actually knows what they're doing unlike Morey & Brand.

Ownership was the one who allowed the "GM by committee" that chose Brett Brown, Horford, and Simmons over Jimmy Butler. Ownership was the one who agreed to trade Mikal for Tobias and then agreed to give Tobias that contract (every other NBA beat writer knew they were only bidding against themselves).

Yes the Knicks paid a lot for him but they had the luxury of doing that unlike the sixers and the reality is, if they decide to cash in on a superstar eventually they can actually trade guys like hart, divencenzo and Mikal along with the remaining draft capital. That said their plan is probably keep the young core with Anunoby together.

It's funny how we mentioned that the knicks were able to beat sixers because Embid was not 100 percent. Neither were the Knicks, neither was Robinson and we were missing Randle. . Robinson just came back from surgery and handled Embed. Embed was fustraturated because he couldn't do nothing with Robinson. The other thing was the Knicks were missing Julius Randle. So stop. 76ers got beat because the Knicks have chemistr and heart . Give respect where repect is due. The Knick beat Philly period. Sixers and Paul George have the same story everybody is always saying how the sixers are a championship team but they cannot make it to the Eastern conference finals they say Paul George is a superstar but everywhere he has gone he has had no impact except for Indiana sounds like a perfect match to me, a match made in heaven. If this is the final piece that The Knicks need and if it results in a championship then it was the right move. I believe Bridges in NY puts them as the number 1 contender in the East. Plus these guys won a championship in college. The core knows what it takes.. no brainer move by NY and I'm not suprised this move happened. As far as the 76ers. We are really close to thinking.. should we be under new ownership? I'm sure some feel that way already however I I wouldn't be surprised if this eventually becomes the narrative. All these bad moves over the last 10 years have happened under this ownership. We have never seen this with Lurie to this extent.
