I think you are missing a really important info about this case, and it's that when she said yes to making the review, Mikayla posted a review of a Bondi Sands self tanning that is really similar to the dude's product. So everybody is annoyed at Mikayla for that, that maybe she has a deal with Bondi Sands and can't review the dude's product. She should have just said no instead of leading him around.

I'm kinda glad to see that I'm not the only one who thinks that most of this is a result of his poor business skills. Mikayla isn't the most transparent person, if you've seen anything about her you know. But this isn't her scamming anyone, and her saying "yeah sure I'll review it" isn't a legal or binding contract that forces her to do this review. He shouldn't have taken out that loan. What I do think that Mikayla should've done is to just say that she won't review it, so not saying that and "leading him own" is kinda shitty. But hey, now he has a lot of publicity so hopefully he'll be able to get the money back.
