I have to chime in here with compliments to Mitch Jeserich for a perennially informative show. This was an excellent summary and analysis of Black history month. You can't miss with Gerald Horne who, I'm my humble opinion, is the most insightful radical historian in contemporary academia.

Thank you Dr. Horne for a clear analysis about what the so-called news channels are not saying about where the country is right now.

Idk if Prof Horne drinks but I suspect if u got him drunk it would be hilarious!!😂 he’d just riff on history, throwing in N and F’ bombs all over the place. Still very insightful but WAAAAY more entertaining!😂

Yes, there has to be an unapparent collective agreement by the chief players. Those players are implementing a stance and a presence somewhere as a united front. trump tried to derail any focus on one group when he seemed to be "canceling" of some groups and was not seen to be buddying up with any one country.

Was it necessary for Dr. Horne to mention the three great Afrikan writers as being gay?

The first mention of the Nubians and their society in Egypt and Sudan was in the Roman era, and before that they were shepherds and nomads in the deserts of Africa between Libya and Chad and were not part of civilization.

Civilization is an orientalist term that has no real meaning in history. Many nomadic tribes had civilisations, just different from sedentary ones.

The first mention is Ancient Egypt ..the Roman era is recent history.
