After tracking with you for almost 5 years, I have to say this is one of the best I’ve seen. You explain all the various views, you are matter of fact that the early church were pre millennial and how other positions were adopted and amillennial became more dominant with post millennial hybrid. It just so honestly makes total sense! Your research is impeccable and you have what I would call for want of a better term a normal head on your shoulders that is logical, rational, practical and just ‘normal’ common sense conclusions to Christianity since Christ. I totally agree, dispensational theology just gives rise to replacement theology and makes no sense. God bless you Joel and your family, I pray that your wife is recovering and if not healing that she is strengthened by the Lords power to cope, endure and to embrace the lessons we all learn from suffering. The time will come and the Lord will reward all those that believe and trust in Him. The lame shall walk, the blind shall see, the deaf shall hear, those in pain will feel relief and those like myself suffering poor mental health will be renewed and made well from all the abuse and suffering of this age! Come Lord Jesus, Maranatha and blessing to all the FAI family.

I disagree that Dispensational Hermeneutics gives rise (necessarily) to replacement theology. While that may have occurred it doesn't necessarily follow from there. The only thing in dispensation theology that says that the Church is replacing Israel is merely indicating that Israel is sort of in the background, and when the Church is removed, they will once again take center stage. If you want to say that one theological outlook is actually responsible for replacement theology, it would be the Amillennial views of the Catholic Church and most of the mainline Protestant churches that use a more allegorical interpretative approach to the Bible than most fundamental evangelical churches that hold to a Dispensational Hermeneutical perspective and generally follow a premillennialist and pre-tribulation eschatology. Replacement theology works from the view that Israel is been completely removed and replaced by the Church, and no longer has a place in the plans of God, but personally, I think that view is a bit premature and even rather arrogant in light of prophecy and the scriptures. The Bible guarantees that Israel has covenantal promises to it, and God always does what He has said He will do. I just think you are putting (most) Dispensationalists in a position that they do not hold to. JMO. 🙏✝️👑✝️🙏

Joel you're right when you say most people who claim Christianity have a platonic view- that's why you hear " it's all about God's grace" and it dismisses one's responsibility to make stances and decisions for our lives in Christ now- it's also a mix of gnosticism- it's like saying you have faith with one arm tied behind your back..I have to admit that there was a time I accepted this view,but honestly it didn't seem well with my soul,and that is one reason why I began to seek things out- I think you are a true and loving teacher - thank you Lord for your sacrifice and am excited for Your return+++

One thing in my own research I have unfortunately found is the anti-Judaism found in the early church, especially in the 3-4th Century AD. The Council of Nicea said very concerning things about having "nothing in common with the Jews". I fell this has largely contributed towards the Amillennial and Postmillennial eschatological view.

The Jews at that time went through major reconstruction of their faith over and against Christianity. Just read the Talmud. Today's rabbinic Judaism looks nothing like what anyone believed in the first century.

Hi Joel. I was wondering if you could evaluate this theory: The first beast comes from the sea (the abyss), empowered and sent by Satan, and is therefore a rebellious spirit. The second beast comes from the earth (the dust, humanity) and is therefore a man. The first beast was once worshipped as a pagan deity, but its cult was greatly diminished after Jesus' crucifixion, with Christianity vanquishing heathen polytheism wherever it spread, for a time. This was a fulfilment of Genesis 3:15, with the beast (and all of Satan's fallen angels) sustaining a seemingly fatal head wound. Revelation 13:3 shows that the beast would recover from the wound, becoming the focal point and main influence behind an antichrist monotheism. The second beast, the false prophet, is also the worthless shepherd of Zechariah 11:17, unable to read and write (withered hand, darkened eye). He gives breath to an image of the first beast, granting it to speak when he recites its scripture, and he also commands the people to recite. The image, then, is actually a self-aggrandizing representation of the first beast, not an icon or idol, but a theological deception in alignment with Johannine warnings of the coming antichrist spirit, denying the Father and the Son as core doctrine. He reduces Christ to a mere man and prophet, and positions himself in the same mold, presenting himself with figurative horns of a lamb, though he speaks like the Dragon itself. The first beast, like the Prince of Persia, has a claim to spiritual influence over various human geopolitical realms, especially centered around Satan's throne, which has been given to it, and which we know to have been located around Pergamum. The tribulation which eventually wiped out the seven churches of Revelation is the same as the violent conquest of these lands by the followers of the beasts. Philadelphia, as promised, escaped the trial, with the Christian community of that region having been relocated to the Athenian suburb of New Philadelphia and enduring until today. I could go on, but I'd like to get your thoughts and critique.

At 11:58 minutes, Joel said that believers will receive “physical, resurrected, immortal glorified bodies”. But in 1 Corinthians 15:44, Paul says “It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.” We are also told that “we know that when he [Jesus] appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is” 1 John 3:2. What proofs, then, are there that a believer’s eternal life will be “physical”? I would really like to understand the thinking.

After His resurrection, when Jesus Christ appears to the disciples they touched Him, He ate with them EVERY TIME. In Job it says that in the later days (though He destroys me) I shall stand up and see Him in my flesh. If in the life to come we are disembodied spirits, then what's the point? 🙏✝️👑✝️🙏

Do you believe all followers of Christ throughout the ages will be part of the Millenium? Revelation 20:4-6 would suggest otherwise: only those who were beheaded will be resurrected and enjoy the Millennial kingdom, whereas all others will have to wait until the end of the Millenium to be resurrected.
@QueMari
@QueMari 19 күн бұрын
@@davidgraham9368 I can see how one would come to that conclusion. There’s several reasons why all the saints of the ages would be resurrected for the Millennial. 1. The Scriptures highlight only two resurrections: one for the JUST and another for the UNJUST. (Acts 24:15; Daniel 12:2) Therefore all the JUST are raised before the Millennium. 2. Paul mentions that all believers will be raised at “the LAST trumpet” (1 Corinthians 15:52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16) Thus, the LAST trumpet would be the seventh trumpet of Revelation. This is because the seven trumpets in Revelation are the ONLY trumpets that are numbered & come in a sequential order (in regards to the last days). The last trumpet is blown before the Millennial begins. 3. The reason Revelation 20 highlights those “who were beheaded” is because MARTYRDOM is a repeated them throughout the book of Revelation. That’s why we compare Revelation 20 to other passages to get the entire picture.

@humblewatchman1673

Hi friend. There isn’t a second thousand years spoken of. At the end of the thousand years in which Christ physically reigns on earth with His saints the second resurrection takes place, in which the wicked are judged and thrown into the lake of fire (how terrifying). During the thousand year reign, the Bible speaks of humans existing alongside glorified saints. However, it doesn’t tell us how this works. Like, who exactly will cross over into the millennium that weren’t believers? The only logical conclusion is that they’re children prior to the age of accountability who also wouldn’t have been required to take the mark of the beast - since taking the mark is an act of knowing worship, and morality isn’t understood prior to the age of accountability. The glorified saints never return to being in their fallen human state though.

Where do you get the age of accountability from? Like the whole concept
@humblewatchman1673
@humblewatchman1673 18 күн бұрын
@KT-et5vn I think we see possible evidence of an age of accountability in several passages, but here are a couple. Logically speaking, this would also explain how those who are mentally disabled would be judged as well - i.e. one is not morally culpable until one is morally aware. David’s words in 2 Sam 12: 21-23 seem to indicate that infants who die are safe in the Lord. David could have simply been referring to the fact that his child was in the grave, but he seemed to be comforted by the knowledge based on his grieving suddenly ceasing when the baby died. “While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept; for I said, ‘Who knows, the Lord may be gracious to me, that the child may live.’ But now he has died; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he will not return to me.” Romans 1:20 speaks of what’s clearly seen in creation condemning humanity as a testament to there being a Creator, but babies and young children lack reasoning - so they don’t “clearly see”. “Since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”
